Thanks Bob, that's a great find and should help. I think it's worth quoting the relevant part of the programme information: Cheers, Dave

Thanks, Bob! It's neat that the US and NZ share a TV program

I have it! There is an old VHS tape sent to me a few years ago by Belinda (Hayley's 'oldest' fan!) which I had never viewed, because I had no working or connected VHS recorder at the time. But I kept it safely... and it's from 2001/2. But I fixed a VHS recorder up a few months ago following a special request from a close relative to digitise her VERY old VHS tape and it worked. I tried it on the Hayley tape but... nothing. So I dug out another old VHS recorder... and this one worked! The 60 minutes programme is on there with several other 2001/2 recordings never seen online - the video quality is variable (Old VHS - tracking!) and the audio needs work, so it may take a while to sort everything out and re-record the faulty parts then splice them in, but it looks to be definitely doable so I'm now trying to copy the entire tape onto my DVD recorder to rescue it. Good news then, and many thanks for raising this Paige, and especially to Belinda for sending this tape to me (sorry it took so long!) Patience though, but it WILL happen. It's quite exciting, actually! Cheers, Dave

Quick update: I now have everything on my computer and there is more than the 60 minutes programme! Am currently fixing the audio and deciding where to split the several videos before encoding and uploading one or two, hopefully later this week. Not all are of good quality but the 60 minutes one is in good condition for a 14 year old VHS recording. Cheers, Dave

Here it is! EDIT - THIS is version 1, version 2 is here: hwi.proboards.com/post/171957/thread and the audio may be a little better! Currently "unlisted" so you have to know the link to find it... so we can enjoy it here, first! I will make it publicly searchable in a few days time. I tucked in a short advert for her HW album and a short follow-up report on sales from a later "60 minutes", right at the end. Let me know please if there are any problems with it that I missed. Cheers, Dave

That was fantastic!! Thank you so much, Dave! Hayley was so cute (not that she isn't now). She looks so young! And her little voice! I'd seen many still frames/screenshots from that episode before...I'm glad I finally got to see the footage! The picture quality and audio was great as well Thanks, Dave!

Hi, What a gem that is! Seeing it, makes one wonder how it never made it into HWI's archives. It is easy to see why it made such an impression on the viewers at the time of broadcast, and helped Hayley along so much. I have seen a few brief excerpts from it, here and there, in the past, but that is all. That will be a fine archival addition. Thanks to Paige for pursuing that. And many thanks to you, Dave, for the excellent work in resurrecting it. BobS

Thanks Dave and Joe for his incredible piece of history. A gem for our archive. Martin Ps I now know where Hayley got her delightful giggle - she inherited it from her Mum.

That is a great interview. So many thanks to all those involved in the resurrection but especially to Belinda for the recording and Dave for making it available. That is the best quality record of anything I have seen from the pre "Pure" days. Cheers, Dave Dave. Does that phrase mean there could be more to come?

Great recording, Belinda and Dave! I think one or two short clips have appeared in later videos. I assume the sound is in mono, but it only plays in the left audio channel, so would it be possible to centre it? If not, never mind. Richard

That is superb. I was spellbound. Lots of stuff there I have never seen before, Well done Dave and thank you for making this available. Excellent job.
It's amazing just how good Hayley was, even at that young age.
