Time for another video. This one is quite poor visually, but quite good sonically. It was of course taken on the Sunday, from the balcony. And it is uploaded to Facebook only, since I prefer a bit more quality for my Youtube channel (although you never know, it might end up there). I have an even better quality soud file, made with a separate recorder, in fact I have the whole of the Saturday concert and all of Hayley's sets from sunday. the Sunday ones are better sounding because of where I was in the hall. But I need somewhere decent to upload them to (for free) before I can link to them, and I have not found any way to upload MP3 files to Facebook. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Anyway, I'm going to try to link to my facebook video. Let's see if it works. www.facebook.com/video.php?v=748531685228211&set=vb.100002141596930&type=2&theater¬if_t=video_processedIt works for me, but I'm not sure how well it will work for others. Let me know please. Martin D

No trouble seeing, but you are right. Off the mark visually, but nice sound. Good to see, though, to get the atmosphere. Thanks

Hello Martin D! Yes, the video plays for me too. I've decided to post your YouTube video of "I'll Be Home For Christmas" on our Facebook page. Richard

Martin D Great stuff, Martin. You're too hard on yourself. The sound was great where I was on Saturday night - 11 rows from the front in the 'parterre'. Very scrappy on Sunday in the front row (between the enormous speakers). I suggest mediafire.com for your audio files. A little bird says there are some Cork files there already. Great to be among friends on Saturday and Sunday last.

Thanks Paddy,
Yes, I have a Mediafire account. But I was hoping for somewhere that will allow the files to be played directly without having to download them first.
I would also appreciate some advice on replacing the sound on existing videos with a better quality recording. Synchronisation is always the issue, and I have never found any software that makes it easy to do.

I've used Serif MoviePlus for messing around with videos - so it must be simple to use.

I highly recommend putting that song on Youtube. She doesn't perform that song often, and I think that's the finest performance of the song yet in recent years. Being the popular song it is, I'm sure a lot of people will be delighted. Really good sound quality and the orchestra was amazing. Great job!

Martin D Hi Martin, I can do that but you'd need to get the video and audio files to me somehow, mediafire or if you know how to ftp, upload to an HWI account I could create. What happens to them after that would be up to your goodself! Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss... Cheers, Dave

I'm off out to a community carol sing shortly, but I've just about got time to post a couple of videos. These are both of the same song, from the two concerts, taken as you know from different locations. I would be very interested to hear your opinions on quality, and which of them you prefer.
First of all, from the Saturday night concert taken from the front row...
and the second one form the Sunday concert taken from the balcony, with the video I filmed on the big screen at the front of the hadd behhing the orchestra.
Enjoy!
