Haha, well, it's just that I don't know where everyone else is staying, and since nobody has suggested to meet at any specific time or place yet, still being a bit early, I have to at least consider that I might eat alone for at least a couple of meals. The restaurant within the Best Western is called Jerome's, and I don't know if people not staying there can just walk in and eat with me or not. But I couldn't imagine why not as long as you pay for your meal! So, if anyone wants to meet me and eat with me, you're welcome to it. I wouldn't expect you to eat breakfast with me, though.

Hello Libby! I suggest you arrive at the venue at least a couple of hours before the concert, then you're bound to meet up with other Hayley fans. Richard

I guess we are much more used to Hayley concerts over here Libby. For example, at Cork, most if not all of us are staying in the same hotel, and some are using the same flights from the UK. We will certainly meet up at mealtimes, it's a tradition that goes back a long way. But then we all know each other anyway from many previous concerts. I suspect most of the HWI members at Madison will have never met, and will not recognise each other. But you can arrange to meet up before the concert. At least then you won't feel quite so alone Libby.

Hi Libby, My wife (Susan) and I are planning on staying at the Best Western as well. We haven't finalized our arrival and departure dates yet but hope to get that done this weekend. We should all try to get together before the concert for food and talk. Have you checked out the Airport Terminal layouts for the airports you will be using? www.airportterminalmaps.com is a pretty good resource. BillR

Hi Libby!
I'm so happy that you are going to see Hayley's concert in Madison!! My best advice is to just go with the flow. Have confidence that everything will go smoothly.
It will be nine years next month since my first Hayley concert and that night of magic in Easton will never fade!

Have you checked out the Airport Terminal layouts for the airports you will be using? www.airportterminalmaps.com is a pretty good resource. BillR Oh, good! Knowing this will help tremendously! How are we going to identify each other? I remember reading about one UK concert when I first joined the forum, the HWIers all wearing something identifying themselves as an HWI member. We don't have anything like that, so what should we do? Carry "I AM A HAYLEY FAN!!" signs with us? LOL I'm supposed to arrive in Madison at 6:24 local time on Dec. 17th, but if I use the shuttle it could be after 7 before I get to the hotel. By the time I've checked in, found my room, etc., it could be 7:30 or after before I venture to the dining room (Jerome's Restaurant). Just let me know when you find out when your airport arrival time will be. You might want to use the airport shuttle, too, since it's a free service, and will eliminate costs of renting a car. Not really any point in renting a car with the hotel being so close to the venue. I'll be used to being 2 hours earlier than Madison, too, but I am used to eating at all times of the evening with my random retail schedule, so my digestive system won't get jet-lagged at all! In fact, since I wake up at all sorts of times every day, I have to wonder if I'd really get jet-lagged, especially with only a 2 hour difference. That website didn't help that much. There's not much I can interpret from it at this time. Be sure to send me a PM about the details of your arrival, when you get them. It will definitely be helpful to know I'm not completely alone at the hotel. I feel a little better already!

Libby,
You can always ask hotel reception for a room number if you want to find someone staying in the same hotel. They may also be able to tell you whether they are in or not. Even better, exchange cellphone numbers beforehand so you can call each other.

Hi Libby, I mention this just in case you do not happen to be aware of it. Your folks at home, if interested, will be able to follow you on Flightaware which will let them see where you are in flight at any moment on a map, how high you are, how fast you are going, etc. If your plane has to go off course to avoid a storm, that will show. There will also be a picture of the type of plane that you are in. I have set up examples below for your two outbound legs which would require the proper info for your particular flights in December. It is amazing, and fun, to watch. The plane is shown moving for about a minute, before it needs refreshing for updating. BobS flightaware.com/live/flight/ASA34flightaware.com/live/flight/DAL864 Thanks, that's interesting. I'm sure they'll want me to call when I arrive at my various destinations. Yes, I am planning to bring a Hayley CD, in case I get to have Hayley sign it. Which one should I bring? Odyssey, which is the one that really made me a fan, or Pure, which is the one my dad, who is from Wisconsin, helped me to discover? Or, actually, should I just bring the CD booklet, instead of carrying the whole thing with me. I think maybe I'll do that. I don't want her to sign the case like Grace Bawden did when she mailed me her CD. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Not that I think Hayley would do that.

I would recommend bringing just the booklets, 4 or 5 even, in a protective folder or envelope. Have them open on the pages you want signed before you get to the table or signing area. You will know from what is going on near Hayley if she is under pressure or not, some signings are very relaxed. I remember having several booklets in my hand but only offering Hayley two to get signed, I felt she was under pressure, she nodded at the other booklets and I said they could wait until another time and she just took them all and signed them at a leisurely pace asking if I wanted anything special on them. I could hardly refuse, could I ?

I am sure Hayley will understand if you bring more than two booklets, You have gone to a lot of trouble and waited a long time to get to that table, It's a good excuse to spend a little bit longer at the table.

Well, I just don't want to take all my CD booklets and risk losing them. Not that I reallyexpect to, but you know how paranoid I am.
