They don't last long do they. Par for the course. 2013 UK X Factor winner Sam Bailey has been dropped by Simon Cowell's record label. About time he dropped One Direction...

It's about time somebody dropped Simon Cowell... from a great height! Richard

He dropped Jai McDowall of BGT, too. Martin, there's no danger of One Direction being dropped. They're too popular with young girls.

I was so glad to have been able to watch the X-Factor UK on my cable TV last year!
Winner Ben Haenow had the Christmas Number One...and deservedly so. Fleur East, the runner up, I did not care for at all. I was sad when Only the Young were eliminated.

One of my granddaughters was mad about them for a couple of years... when she was 9 and 10, it used to drive me mad! Luckily, she's 11 now and doesn't mention them much at all any more. So the bubble will hopefully burst when the preteenies grow a bit older, and I think that process is already underway! Cheers, Dave

I'm sure they'll go the same way as the Jonas brothers in a matter of time... but by then, the next sensation will probably have appeared.
