I recieved the following this morning from CDJapan.
The link gives a release date of October 1st 2014. A price of 2000 yen. And mentions special editions and pre-ordering.
Having read the link more carefully I think it may be Hayley included in a Various Artists Album.

Yes I got that too Jim. The only other artist (apart from Hayley) I can see mentioned is Nana Mouskouri.
No track listing or anything yet, so we don't know if there are any new recordings. The album cover obviously isn't available yet either.
Time will tell I'm sure.

So, is it some sort of various artists album?

I don't think we'll know until they update their info. My guess is that it's your standard compilation album, but with only two artists listed and no tracklist, it's kinda difficult to interpret. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Well, if it is Scottish songs I can't think of too many that Hayley has recorded. In fact "The Mists of Islay" might be the only one.

She Moved Through the Fair might pass as Scottish even though it's Irish.

I'll vote for the Mists of Islay. I always have liked that one, which doesn't seem to get as much attention as others on that album (but then, there are over 20 songs that can be counted as an Odyssey song ).

I wouldn't be surprised if it's the old recording of "Amazing Grace" with bagpipes, but I hope I'm wrong. Richard

I feel as though "Amazing Grace" is used way too much. Of all of Hayley's songs, "Amazing Grace" seems to be used most.

I never liked that bagpipes version of AG anyway. And the song is actually English, so it won't fit the description. But perhaps most Japanese won't realise that, Hayley's Amazing Grace is very popular over there. I should think all her Japanese fans have at last one version by now!
