Hello folks! Yesterday Aled Jones reminded me that John Brunning was with the band Mungo Jerry for a while. I can't find any photographs or videos from that period, but it turns out that he had his own band back in 1980. Here he is as you've never seen or heard him before: John is now best known as a presenter on Classic FM and he also composes for a hobby. A few of us met him at a couple of concerts with All Angels a few years ago, and he's a real gentleman. Here are All Angels performing John Brunning's "Pie Jesu" at St. James's Church, Piccadilly, 28 November 2007: Here's a recent video from Classic FM: Richard

I have listened to John many times of Classic FM. Hadn't realised he had such a musical pedigree. Love his Pie Jesu - well its All Angels. Mungo Jerry, that goes back a long way. 1970? "In the Summertime". You live and learn. Thanks for posting Richard.

Hello Martin D! I believe John Brunning was only with Mungo Jerry for a short time, but I was very impressed with his singing and guitar playing in the videos I posted. Eat your heart out, Eric Clapton! Richard
