I chanced upon a facebook conversation a couple of days ago in which one of the artists was saying that there will be no Classic BRIT award ceremony this year, but it has been moved back to May 2015.
I don't know where she got her information, but I am inclined to believe it.

That's interesting John, though the website still says:
But given the lack of chart success for (and presumably interest in) classical and classical crossover music this year, a (what would in effect be) cancellation wouldn't surprise me. Deferring it to Spring next year would mean they've skipped a complete year since May, 2011.

Usually the nominations are made by April, aren't they? I will miss one of the best opportunities to see Hayley "glammed up". Even though she has no album nominated, she would likely attend since she has an album in the making. That's what she did in 2010, when she was working on Paradiso. |

Hello Libby!  I think the Classic BRIT Awards have been swept under the carpet for the time being. Classic FM seem to have cut down their budget in the last couple of years, so it's probably due to lack of funds and the current economic climate. All these TV talent shows could be an ex-factor too.  Richard |

I suppose some members would even wonder if she'd even qualify anymore, but I think she would. I'll be sad to miss out on a glamorous dress. That used to be one of the highlights of the "Hayley year" for me! |
