Did any of you catch this blurb from today's news? Westenras to Host Royal Family1 April, 2014 When Christchurch soon opens its doors to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, one lucky household will have the rare privilege of hosting them for a Royal stay. Jill and Gerald Westenra won a contest last Friday on Kiwi-105's Morning Drive Show by being the 9th call and correctly identifying the singer of "Royals". The prize: An overnight visit on the 14th of April by Prince William, his wife Kate and their infant son Prince George. "I can't believe we won, but it feels right," said an excited Jill. "We have the extra space since our three children are all moved on so it works perfectly for us." Gerald revealed that the Royal couple will probably take global Popera sensation Hayley's old room while baby George stays in Sophie's former space where the Westenras promise to have songs from "Hushabye" at the ready if he has any trouble sleeping. "It usually does the trick with most kids—and many adults too," he said with great pride. "Hayley's music is a blessing at any age!" A spokesman for the Duke and Duchess revealed that they were "really looking forward" to spending an evening at the Westenras as part of their personal mission to "inject freshness and break with tradition" in their role as heirs to the throne. He added, "It will save them money and bring them closer to the people. What could be better than that?"

Hi Steve, nice to know you are still about..
I wish all our quieter members would log in occasionally so that we know you are still about.
I miss a lot of the humour that used to come from below the Equator.... go on .... log in folks.

Good stuff Steve. And why not. I gather the royal couple were disappointed that Hayley will not be there. They had read what Arnaud had said about waking up to the world's finest voice, and wanted to experience it.

Not fooled this time. Though for a brief fraction of a second, I came close to it, but immediately remembered what day it was, and noticed where it was posted.
