Haha, at least he doesn't think it's cheating like some people do. And... am I to assume your fascination with ice dancing has ended? Actually quite the contrary Libby! I am actually completely obsessed! I have been watching a heap of Davis/White and Virtue/Moir routines! I just haven't had much of a chance to post on here that's all!

That's kind of what I figured. Anyway, next time you get a chance, be sure to check out my last couple posts on the skating thread. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. One I haven't watched in a while, and I got chills watching it again. Besides the ice dancing, though, there's also some single skating I posted above you might also like.

Tonight's dances were all Disney routines. Charlie did a Mary Poppins routine, while Meryl got stuck with the Jungle Book. LOL I have to say I preferred Charlie's dance this week. I missed Meryl's score, but I think she did pretty well, too. Charlie's was better than last week, of course.

Totally in love with Meryl and Maks' Tango! Have watched it a fair few times!
I think Meryl has a real chance at winning this! It's really interesting watching her dance with a partner that is the dead opposite of Charlie White in so many ways.

You've resurfaced at last! LOL I don't suppose I could coerce you into visiting the figure skating thread and watching my last few videos? I'm sure you'll like them. I just love being able to discuss my favorite skaters with people. I have someone like that over on the JG forum, but it's extra fun to share them with someone new to ice dancing like you. I hated watching Meryl and Maks rehearse, he sounds mean. I find those segments boring anyway. Luckily I found a video with just them dancing. Charlie's dance was good, too, here it is:

I think it's interesting how Charlie seems to be maintaining his boyish, fun image through his dances, while Meryl is very much vamping it up with quite passionate routines with Maks.
Meryl and Maks' dances are of a completely different tone to the kind of ice dancing Meryl does with Charlie. But for some reason, I can imagine Meryl and Charlie doing the routines that Charlie and Sharna are doing.

It's probably because Maks isn't quite as boyish, and more an intense dancer and teacher.

Still been watching. Was disappointed to see Danica go. She was one of the most talented dancers besides the PROFESSIONAL dancers lol

Charlie was eliminated this week. Oh, well, I'll be rooting all the more for Meryl! BTW, I hated the cover of Hound Dog she and Maks danced to. The "high class" part in particular was really annoying. LOL

As I'm sure many of you are aware, Meryl Davis won DWTS with her partner Maks!! It was the first win for Maks, as well (as opposed to Derek Houghes' 5 wins)! It's so wonderful and strange at the same time that a skater I've been a fan of for so long is not only famous in the skating/winter Olympics world, but also all across the world and America. First because of her and Charlie's Olympic gold, and that being the first gold for an American ice dance couple, and now because they've been on DWTS. So now not just skating fans love Meryl & Charlie (and especially Meryl now), but the dancing fans love her, too. And all the talk shows know who she is now, too. It's just great!
