I see a video and three photos in you previous post - two photos of the blue dress and one white. Sometimes I find that photos take a while to load up and display. Maybe you didn't wait long enough?
How long is long enough? 😂 It’s still not there, and nothing seems to be happening where it looks like the site hasn’t fully loaded yet. Hmmm... I see the photo when I view it on my computer, but on my phone there is just a little icon (broken picture?). I don't often look at the forum on my phone. Edit - I seem to get the same icon on my phone for most people's avatars on this thread, but I can see my own. Maybe it depends on where the image is hosted. Edit 2 - Looking at a few other threads, I can see avatars for Richard, Dave, Martin, Martindn and Frenchie (so it's not just UK) but not for Libby, Joe, Comet or Jeff. Admins, what is the difference?

Hi John, as far as I can remember my avatar is hosted by : Oh No.......... Photobucket.
I had a quick look, but I don't want to poke at the sleeping beast, it seems to be looking for money again and I have pictures in a lot of concert threads and I would hate to see them disappear.
If you go to your profile you can see there are several ways of hosting your avatar.
also to keep on topic, I did watch the figure skating, the slow motion piece was fascinating, how quickly her foot corrects direction on landing is incredible, you can see the trace in the ice as she does it, practice makes perfect.

Admins, what is the difference? I posted it via computer, of course, and saw it after I posted it, and edited once or twice. The next time I looked, I was viewing it from my phone, and the space was blank, albeit the blank space was small enough that you wouldn't know it was missing if I didn't say so. No icons at all. I'm now using my computer, and I saw the photo there as it was when I posted it.

Here is the skater who beat Satoko at the NHK trophy (and will be competing in France this weekend). Rika Kihira is a new face to the senior Grand prix circuit. But then, Japan is always churning out new skating stars, as the sport is extremely popular there these days. So, this was the first time I'd ever seen Rika, and at first I was disappointed that Satoko didn't win, but I watched Rika's program again, and it is stunning! Her music is by a musician named Jennifer Thomas, whose name I've seen mentioned by other fans of CC music. When I saw her name shown here, I immediately recognized it, and later looked at her twitter page. I see she's from Seattle! Will have to look into her music. Though it was really the choreography here that stole the show.

Here are my favorite pair skaters Vanessa James & Morgan Cipres of France, who recently won the Grand Prix Final in Vancouver, BC. I have seen them compete live twice at Skate America in 2010 and 2012. They weren't as successful back then, but they have vastly improved in the last several years. Their lifts and choreography are usually more unique than many of the other pairs, especially their signature lift at the end of most of their programs. They start the lift as normal, but then end with Morgan gliding on one knee, holding her with only one arm, and then he releases her into their final pose. Vanessa is known for wearing unitards instead of the usual skating dresses. Some people don't care for that, but I like that it shows off the flexibility and movement better, and they still are made with sparkles and pretty designs. Also, normal skating dress skirts are constantly flying up, so I'm sure it's nice not to worry about the skirt flying up just when the under-leotard is hiking up your rear. LOL Vanessa is actually from Canada and does not have a French accent, but she speaks French.
Here is their winning free skate to Wicked Game "by Chris Isaak, performed by Ursine Vulpine ft. Annaca" (taken from their ISU profile):

I posting this video because the old one above no longer works, and also because I mentioned her name in the skating to Hayley thread as a skater I chose to bombard with requests to skate to a song by Hayley. LOL This is from a more recent competition, the Grand Prix Final, which she won. You might also find it very interesting to know that the lady who composed this piece, Jennifer Thomas, attended the ladies competition to see her skate to her music! That's because the Final was held in Vancouver, BC, which is very near to where Jennifer lives, in Seattle, Washington! I chose for her to skate to I Believe, which could be either a competition program or exhibition/gala. Either one would be great! In addition, here is the other skater I mentioned in the skating to Hayley thread, Mariah Bell. Here is her outstanding program to To Love You More by Celine Dion; she really sells it, and I have yet to see her make a mistake in this program:
