KJ said she is "incredibly humbled" to become an OBE in the New Year Honours List 2014. The award is for her services to music and charity.
The BBC said "In March, she raised at least £25,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support by running the London Marathon. It was in aid of a charity whose nurses helped her father Selwyn before he died of lung cancer when she was 15. She flew to Camp Bastion in Afghanistan last month to meet the troops and perform two special concerts for UK service personnel."
