New Zealand vocalist Hayley Westenra is currently appearing in commercials for Japanese confectionery manufacturer Bourbon's new boysenberry-flavoured product range, but the New Zealand connection doesn't end there.

Bourbon are exclusively using boysenberries imported from New Zealand, the world's largest exporter of the reddish-purple fruit.

Thanks Dave! Cool seeing Hayley in that type of situation. Although her appearance was brief, we can get a rare glimpse of her acting chops. It is funny at the same time though, because Japanese ads are very different from the kind we have here in the states, it did make me chuckle a bit i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif. Has Hayley done any other TV commercials?

I used to enjoy the taste of Burbon's boysenberry cookie but I can not purchase it any more. Bourbon still sells the boysenberry juice but the cookie was discontinued. As a business, the cookie was not very successful but the juice was successful as you can see the products here. www.bourbon.co.jp/boysenberry/products/products.html
