A meal in the Harcourt or nearby perhaps ? Sounds like a plan. I guess timing will depend on what we end up doing during the day. Perhaps 4.30 to 5.00 would be better? Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant, For some of us, that is what we will be doing that afternoon, I gather some will be at that location anyway. Nothing worse than wandering around a strange city wondering where all the other members are hiding, or having all the fun So let us assume people may come and go, but at least some of us will be there anyway from around 3:30. no doubt some will go back to their rooms around 6:30 to 7:00 to dress / freshen up (Don't fall asleep on yer bed and miss the concert) before heading around to the National Concert Hall foyer. It's always nice to soak up a little of the pre-concert atmosphere before taking our seats in good time. I like to be in my seat a good ten minutes before the concert starts. To get comfortable, you understand

Yes, I understand perfectly. But aren't you likely to be shot or something?

To get comfortable, you understand Hi Comet At least Gordon, Martindn and myself are flying over on Thursday afternoon so will have all day on Friday in Dublin. Gordon and I have already talked about spending at least some of the day on the "Loo" (Dublin's tram system) so will probably freshen up before meeting up with everyone for a meal. The other thing to bear in mind is that Juliette is flying over from Lyon on Friday afternoon and her flight doesn't land until 5pm, so I'm hoping to meet up with her at the venue for a pre-concert drink. Hopefully, eveyone else will join us Best wishes Grant

The Conrad Hotel (directly opposite the NCH) is a good place for a drink with a fair lady. Paddy

Hi Paddy,
I remember travelling on the Luas and the lady sitting beside me was speaking on her phone saying she was on the Loo. I assume this is the nickname for the System given by Dubliners.

I don't remember any reference to that in any of their songs Gordon. But who knows anything except "7 drunken nights" anyway? Martin D

Martin D Hi Martin, I was of course referring to the local population and not The Dubliners Irish Folk Group that had the big hit in 1967.I assume this would be obvious to most people reading my post. Gordon If it is a nickname for the Luas, I never heard it before. Anyway, sounds too 'polite' for Dubliners to invent. Maybe it was just a private joke you overheard. Paddy
