Do the Gypsy Queens have a twitter page? You could ask them, too, if they do.

Hello folks! One of our Facebook followers is fairly sure that Hayley's song is 'Parole Parole', and so am I. Listen carefully at 1:57 in this video: I think this is the song: Richard

Yes, as confirmed by the Gypsy Queens themselves, Hayley's song is, in fact, “Parole, Parole.” And I think I'll like it a lot based on Richard's clip. Reminds me a bit of "Metti." -Taylor

Wow! First time I didn't expect anything, because lately it has only been rather disappointing, but Hayley sounded absolutely brilliant, out of the world. Recording was beyond amazing, could here every nuance of the instrumentation and clarity of hayley's tone at its best, her voice was in her purest form in a long time, mild seamless vibrato, and a round timber as opposed to the nasal/flat sounds in recent times. Definitely she sounds different from how she used to sing when she was 16, but I definitely like what I'm hearing. If this is what Hayley was trying to get to all this time by experimenting different techniques, then I'm really happy, or if it was Gypsy Queen's influence and wanting her to sing particularly like this, then good too, but I hope she takes something from here. Hayley always had a unique tone, but this seems to be a distinct style that I'm sure no one else singing this song would sing like. I'm already in love with the song, really happy about the long sample, and I think it's a solo? That's wonderful too! I might actually buy this for just the song, (haven't heard the others yet) Hayley no matter what you never cease to amaze me, times I thank God for introducing Hayley in my life and for the happiness she has given me ever since, it's something special. I really can't wait for 'her' album now! But I'm glad she could squeeze in a few collaborations here and there to keep us updated with new songs Does she usually perform songs that are featured on another album in her concerts? I'd love to hear this live! Her French singing sounds much better than the rather nasal Per Natale from Paradiso too. EDIT: It seems like a popular song, and it's a duet it tells me...So it might not be solo XD

I wish I could hear the sample... I think if Amazon wants to be competitive, they should try to get things like this up as fast as Itunes does. Oh well... Oh yeah, and I wouldn't be able to download it anyway. So that decides that. But I remember hearing a song by these guys someone posted here, and I was not especially fond of the voice. However, it would still be nice to hear it just to see what it sounds like. Because if Simba likes it, must be absolutely phenomenal! :rollin Hey, Simba, I always was kind of under the impression that French was kind of a nasal language, so if that's actually true, I think Hayley gets away with nasal in that case. Anyway, Hayley's voice in Per Natale has the perfect expression for the song, a beautiful joy and warmth in her voice. So, in that case, Hayley did it just right. Nasal isn't always bad, as long as it's not too much, and it's not too much in Per Natale. In some genres, it almost seems to be expected. Try Willie Nelson. LOL

Libby, I'll see if I can record the sample off Itunes, it's quite phenomenal indeed , Thanks. I get the kind of Nasal you're talking about, that bit's there in this song too, but it sounds wonderful and absolutely in place. Well I'll leave it to you, when you're able to listen to it, just play both one after the other or this with any of her recent songs for that matter XD. I know this song is not jazz, but I think Hayley's new sound might help her to branch into that genre, I think jazz numbers like Summertime would sound amazing!

Hey, thanks, Taylor! I did enjoy that, actually. It's not nasally, but it doesn't allow her to show much range. Vocally it just kind of stays in one place. Nothing harmful in that, of course, just something I noticed. As Taylor mentioned, it does resemble Metti, in that way, as well as the style of music. By "branching into the genre", do you just mean occasional jazzy songs? Because I always enjoy her variety of music. I'm not really a fan of jazz, but something like this would be fine... though if she were to do songs like that on a full album, I would start getting bored. I've never liked Summertime, and it's sooooo overdone. So I vote No on that one.
