It is about time someone started a poll for Hushabye I thought, so now that all the tracks are available, I have had a go. Note that option 9 includes both the English and Welsh versions of All Through The Night. After reflection, I think they are so similar that they belong as a single option.

Bridge Over Troubled Water, Dream a Little Dream, and All Through the Night. Hine and Go To Sleep would probably come next.

Well, you can probably work out what I voted. BOTW picks itself. Also love All Through the Night. 3rd, more difficult, I almost chose the Japanese "Cradle Song" which is rather nice, but in the end Bau Bei. And when I think about it, they are all bonus tracks, if you go for the Welsh Version of ATTN. And I enjoy both versions equally.

I have only heard the HWI sample of All I Have To Do Is Dream so I didn't vote for it, although I suspect it would be in my top three.
I'll just have to wait for it to appear on a cd somewhere.

I just got my Japanese version today and I love Cradle Song so went for that and BOTW and Bao Bei. It was close between Cradle Song and Pretty Little Horses which I also love.

And when I think about it, they are all bonus tracks Martin D Hi Martind I wonder if that is because Hayley perhaps had more say about the bonus tracks? BOTW and Bau Bei are both songs that Hayley has enjoyed performing live.

BOTW and Bau Bei are both songs that Hayley has enjoyed performing live. I don't think that's necessarily true. I'm pretty sure she said that almost right away when the idea was given to her, she started compiling a list of songs right away, and also her fiance apparently had some say, too. So, even though the project wasn't her idea at first, I think most of the songs are of her own choosing, with some helpful suggestions from others, it seems.

Yes that is correct, from the song list, instrumentation, singing technique to the way it's recorded, I'm sure it's exactly how Hayley imagined it to be when given the opportunity As to my favourite tracks this is very difficult! It'd be easier to name the tracks I don't like XD.... At first I thought BOTW would be my favourite, but I don't know if it's the recent live versions or the studio version itself (I've only heard samples, she kind of sounds 'nasal'. This is more apparent when I listen to her Simon and Garfunkel "Scarborough fair" and come back to this, or when I listen to Celtic woman's BOTW and Hayley's next. I hope I get to hear the full version and change my mind, but really didn't come off as hayley's most 'perfect' recording. As for the first places...hmmm.. I'd have to say, *All I have to do is dream, *Goodnight my angel, *Brahm's lullaby. But *Cradle song is among these three too, and we have baby mine, sleep on, hushabye mountain, pretty little horses, when at night, stay awake in the next set XD. I'm already feeling bad for leaving out a few because they are all so good! Least favorite track? Hine e hine (dislike) and Go to sleep (this is not bad, just not a favourite)

Actually I almost voted for Twinkle twinkle too. Much maligned track which is actually very nice.

This is very difficult guys - I don't think I could limit my favourites to just 3 songs

I didn't say it was easy Grant. But it concentrated the mind. There are quite a few tracks I was tempted to include. But you have to cut it down to three, and it is possible. And some people are disappointed by this album? When you get into it, and appreciate her vocal techniques, you start to realise how brilliant it is. But BOTW, that is beyond brilliant. Each verse is attacked differently, she uses her voice differently then she suddenly leaps up an octave and turns on the power. A thrilling moment. An incredible performance of a song that according to "Rolling Stone" is the 47th greatest song of all time. Surely this is its best performance of all time (although I haven't heard them all).

I have to say, it's disappointing that I actually don't have 3 favourite tracks from this album. Normally its a really tough decision selecting my 3 favourite tracks, but not with 'Hushabye'.
The only song I like is 'Goodnight My Angel'. Incidentally, the original Billy Joel version is called 'Lullabye (Goodnight My Angel)'.

Well so far I've got it down to five, or maybe six and then there's ... Now that I can agree with! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest wishes Grant
