Thanks Maya and Dave,
The presenter Gucci Yuzo seems to be just mad about Hayley, brings her cds with him to restaurants and other places, that's a real Hayley fan.
They just seem to adore her over yonder where the sun rises, great.
Maya, thank you, maybe you could keep us up to date on sales of Hushabye

Well, Comet, some of us adore her over here too. It is just that some countries are better than we are at recognising real talent. Over here talent seems to be X Factor wannabees. TV has a lot to answer for. But it is lovely to see Hayley getting the sort of recognition she deserves. I just wish it could happen here.

Okay, I finally tried what you all said. I let it start, paused it, and let the tab appear. I started it, but at first it was still stopping and starting. I started just letting it play and turned the sound off, and just read the caption, but then I noticed it seemed better... luckily in time for Hayley to talk.

I owe Dave a lot but I feel happy that you liked the subtitled video. Thanks Dave for checking and correcting my primitive translations and inserting them to the video.
I am sure that you guys understand how people in the studio were fascinated. Just singing AG partially, Hayley sure has changed the atmosphere there. I'd say not only in the studio but also in every house watching the programme.
Yesterday, I also have recorded the proramme of "Sadako Ogata" who has served as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, as the Chairman of the UNICEF Executive Board and as the President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency. Hayley sang BOTW twice in it.
The first time was about 10 minutes after it was started and the second time at the end. It was a 90 minutes programme and I have no idea to upload all but If you guys are interested in watching and hearing Hayley's singing part, I will unlock keys as I did last time and send it to Dave by an FTP if he accepts.

Hello Maya, Thanks for your fine work in reporting on Hayley's recent media activity in Japan. It is nice to have news from there from a local resident. I would certainly be interested and appreciate any effort of yours on BOTW. Sincerely, BobS

I would certainly be interested and appreciate any effort of yours on BOTW. Sincerely, BobS Absolutely Maya. Hayley's version of BOTW is stunning. I can't hear it often enough at the moment. And I am proud to say I was there the first time she performed it on stage. It was a sound check, she kept stopping and starting, but it was very obvious that her version of that great song was stunning. Why isn't it released as a single woldwide (perhaps with sleep on)? And promoted on what used to be called "good music stations" like BBC Radio 2. But no, Decca messed up as usual with Hayley. Hayley is a unique artist. She goes against the trend in music of the last 60 years and gives us beauty and inspiration, love and peace instead of ugliness and despair. I know some people can't get their heads round that. But that is the other side of the human condition, and is there for everyone who chooses to seize it. Most prefer not to it seems. Very sad. Martin D

Hi Maya,
I too would enjoy seeing Hayley again singing Bridge Over Troubled Water and of course, if you do go ahead with this, I will be delighted to make it available on our website.
Your translations, incidentally, were by no means primitive! They were excellent, and easy to follow. Thank you!
Cheers, Dave

Cheers, Dave Yes, I thought you were probably as good a translator as the one translating to Hayley. I actually never even bothered to watch the entire video without the subtitles, because without understanding it, there wasn't much point. Any answers Hayley gave to their questions was nothing new to us. It was much more interesting to see what the host and the viewers had to say about Hayley. I especially liked the part where the host told Hayley what one viewer said in reaction to Amazing Grace, that they "could not stop the tears". Her expression showed that she was very touched by that statement. It was touching for her, and touching for us! And yes, I'd like very much to see the other performances of BOTW, too. Even just one of them would be fine, whichever way works out.

Your translations, incidentally, were by no means primitive! They were excellent, and easy to follow. Thank you! Cheers, Dave You are welcome. It is my pleasure to report how Hayley is well accepted here. Thanks for the complement but I know my limitations since I am just a mere engineer not a translator nor a interpreter. Using my engineering experience, I am rather good at analyzing electronics related problems and find out the root cause of the them such as like this below. www.clublexus.com/forums/7496907-post8.htmlYamae is my another handle name. You will find that I am posting there twice more than here at HWI because I am an engineering guy. My analysis and ideas how to fix are sometimes effective to those who suffer unusual problems that cannot be fixed easily or inexpensively. My suggestion above helped people only to spend 10 US dollars instead of buying a new Engine Control Computer paying more than 2,000 dollars. I always make it a rule to listen to Hayley while I analyze complicated problems because it helps me to relax and get the conclusion faster. Incidentally, I just have sent you the video file of "NHK Special - Sadako Ogata - Wars never end". I picked up only the initial part and the final part. The original was an HD format but I had to limit it 1Mbps and the video quality is not very good. However, I am sure you will know how the song was used twice in the programme. Sadako Ogata was already aged when she has served as the UNHCR, but her energy and ideas were outstanding and she has saved many refugees. Without her, things were not gone that well, they say. It seems to me that the song just represents what Sadako has been thinking and trying to do for those people who were forced leave their homeland. You can find her more at the Wilipedia below. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sadako_Ogata

I am a great believer in the planting of small seeds in the subconscious. I don't believe that to many things are a coincidence. I am referring to the second post in THIS RHYDIAN THREAD about Bridge Over Troubled Water or maybe we just like to think we may have had some effect on something good, somewhere.

You never know Paul, you just never know. I suspect Hayley reads more than we know, and is always looking for ideas. For example Steve Macdonald suggested on HWI that Hayley might sound good singing Japanese songs a year before HSJS, and mentioned 3 examples, all of which appear on HSJS1. The result of that and subsequent albums is Hayley's popularity in Japan. It is always worth making positive suggestions. You might end up helping Hayley.
