It's just as well we are not all in a restaurant together, some of us would be wearing our drinks or dinners or just desserts on our faces So, so true!

Libby, hasn't Decca proved a disappointment in the past on different occasions? I seem to recall another album or two that weren't properly managed or promoted. So, if they have a reputation, wouldn't it be fair to assume that Hayley could have easily turned down such a short notice album but didn't. On the other hand, maybe she didn't have the option to not do Hushabye? Contracts and such... I'm simply making points, it does not necessarily mean I agree or disagree, so don't jump down my throat P.S.. Since Treasure?! It's been that long since a purely Hayley album? I never really thought about it...my time flies. Paige, I'm fine with people making points, and I neither agree nor disagree with yours. Well, actually, I agree that Hayley could have turned it down, which was my point in previous post that she may have agreed to the album because she thought the album would be a good idea, as well. I'm not some monster waiting to pounce, so please don't treat me as such when I've done nothing wrong. I can only assume you mean me when you agree with comet's childish idea. I'm not impressed. However, I do remember that in all of Hayley's interviews for Hushabye, she said that the album was her "label's" idea. Almost as if she was a bit unsure of how people would receive such an album. But when you read about how she and Arnaud discussed song ideas, it sounds as though they both loved the idea. So, at first she may have liked the idea, but as time went on, perhaps she began to feel unsure of it.

Oh for heaven's sake, nothing was directed at you Libby. I only said "don't jump down my throat" because you do have a tendency to get a little too defensive. You are certainly not a monster. I "agreed" with comet because I thought it was funny and created an amusing image in my mind.

Oh no ! The tirimasu was aimed at Jillian, it hit her squarely in the face and spread beautifully on impact where it lingered tantalisingly for just a few seconds before it slid slowly down the front of her dress, but it was all ok, the bits I could not retrieve with my hands were removed by other means No harm done ? Eh Jillian ? That was fun ? Eh ? Let's do it again sometime. An Irishman would never throw drink over someone, that would be a fierce waste of alcohol.. This symbol means we are joking / jesting GSOH required. Jillian may now take a few potshots at me, If she wishes.

Oh for heaven's sake, nothing was directed at you Libby. I only said "don't jump down my throat" because you do have a tendency to get a little too defensive. You are certainly not a monster. I "agreed" with comet because I thought it was funny and created an amusing image in my mind. You had no reason to expect any defensiveness in this case; I'm not sure why you would think I would have a problem with what you said. True, I do tend to get a little heated in some discussions or defensive of my opinions, but it's never meant as anything personal against anyone, so I'm not sure what the problem with any of my defensiveness would be. Even if I had disagreed with it, yes, I would have said so, like I did with Jillian. Jillian seems to have survived my disagreement, and didn't seem to be offended by anything I said, so I'm sure you would've survived as well. But in trying to dodge whatever defensiveness you thought I'd give by telling me not to jump down your throat (which, I have to say, is one of the most irritating accusations in the world), you got my defensiveness, after all. That only served to stir up controversy where there wouldn't have been if you hadn't tried to "prevent" it. No offense, but in doing so, you were just asking for it by saying such a thing. I am a very sensitive person, and when someone says something unpleasant about me, I tend to get a little upset. This is why perhaps I come off as "too defensive". In the future, perhaps you could give me the benefit of the doubt first. If I do happen to offend you in some way, then, by all means, tell me so. But please don't automatically assume the worst from me. I really don't like to be defending myself all the time, especially for no reason. However, I do feel like lately you in particular seem to find fault with anything I say; I'm too analytical, too defensive, too something. Well, other people have told me they don't mind my analytical tendencies. I personally love to analyze, discuss, etc., whether it's agreeing or disagreeing with another. I honestly believe I do so in a decent, non-offensive way. If I were to say anthing bad, I assume the mods. would call me out on it, but they rarely have to do so. I think this all shows that perhaps you were being overly-defensive in this case, since nothing actually happened... or I should say, it wouldn't have happened. Now, getting back on topic, I really can't wait for Hayley's new album... which I hope comes sometime this decade.

You mean we can't disagree about something without people throwing things? Considering all the skirmishes I have had in my time, it's a wonder anyone can see either of us for the mound of tiramisu. Perhaps we need a new smiley for throwing tiramisu! Martin D

Perhaps we need a new smiley for throwing tiramisu! Martin D That's what I'm saying, Martin. Discussions are what a forum is for, IMO, which means you're bound to encounter differing opinions here and there. It's nothing to be scared of; as I say, it's never meant as an insult to anyone. I really actually hate causing drama here. even though I am known for involving myself in such things, I really actually hate it, and I often dread visiting the forum the next day for fear of the tiramisu. LOL It makes me feel like the forum troublemaker, and I really hate being in trouble. So, as I say, even if you're a little wary of my disagreements (though I don't see why), try to give me the benefit of the doubt. If you're nice, I'll be nice. Simple as that.

Or even a "cream bun anyone" is Hayley going to join in.
Was this just a co-incidence ? or do I think to mush much.

Can't keep myself from thinking that there must be something significant meant by Hayley's last Instagram, "Just hangin'". Such a mystery that there hasn't been a factual peep out of anyone regarding her next album, other than Jeff Franzel going over to London to work with Hayley, but nothing more on that. Perhaps the "Just hangin'" is a clue that she is just waiting now for a "splash" announcement coming soon. Am hoping so. BobS

Clue or no, I'm starting to get desperate and even a little annoyed. I'm starting to feel like Larry does sometimes. LOL Or Sally May, the lady who complained about Hayley not doing anything since the last time she checked the forum, before Hushabye. She's been on again recently, wondering again, and honestly, I wish Hayley would say something so I had something to tell her other than the little clues Hayley's given, and the Jeff Franzel website, etc. You do realize her last studio tweet before her Duet one was from April 16th!! I guess the puppy break one counts, too. But that was in... May. I keep thinking, of course, there's going to be an album, so Hayley will announce soon. But day after day after day, nothing, nothing, and more nothing. Her tweets are too few and far between, with very little information. I rejoice at each new tweet; it's great seeing what she's up to, but at the same time I get frustrated at the continual lack of music information. The Duet tweet was indeed encouraging, but still, we're again back to waiting and waiting and waiting. I don't see how the album can possibly be out this year, at this rate. I'm giving up on a 2015 album. The pessimistic side of me wonders if there really will ever be an album, though my optimistic side (which is usually the dominant side) keeps reminding myself of the things I said to reassure the complaining lady. But at the back of my mind, I'm still worrying about it, and am complaining a little myself.

Yes, Libby, it is frustrating I know. But I don't suppose worrying or complaining about it will do anything to help. It will happen when it happens. We don't know when it will be, but as you say this year is starting to look increasingly unlikely (perhaps we should change the name of the thread sometime soon). It is not even that she is busy touring is it? Her last public concert in the UK was the Union Chapel, 2 years ago this month. She must be doing something with her time....

Martin D Yes, recording duets, granting wishes, and climbing trees. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI think the problem is I just think about it too much. I check twitter everyday for her tweets, and potential clues in others' tweets, so whenever I get home from work, I'm online, searching, and then being disappointed and moving on to something else. Until the next day. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

You are not the only one Libby. Hayley's Twitter page is one of the first places I look whenever I switch on the computer, a couple of times most days.

As her official forum moderatator, it's kind of my duty. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I retweet and favorite everything she posts.

Yup, that's it. Many times I've got the scoop om HWI and Hayleyonline. Just like you Libby. We hang on her every word. Sometimes I wonder does she deserve it. Then I listen to her music, watch one of her videos or listen to an album and think, yes, that is awesome. She is the finest singer I ever heard and deserves all that we do for her. As someone said recently, she touches my soul.
