Hi everyone, Hayley was interviewed by Alan Jones for Radio 2GB on April 30, 2007. You can download it HERE (file size : 8.46 MB). I love when the interviewer teases her about the All Blacks. She really wants them to win ! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAgain, she doesn't know her own schedule. She giggles at that - how lovely! She definitely intends to do a NZ tour in early 2008 but she says nothing has been confirmed. Fingers crossed !

So glad you got that Interview Stephany. I'll listen to him after I've finished what I'm doing. I respect him hugely as a very astute clever fearless man. Graeme

Hi Stephany, Many thanks for that delightful interview. It sounds as though Alan Jones is quite a fan! According to previously unpublished details on the schedule, that programme has an expected listenership of a million people. Let's hope they all go out and buy the album! Roger

Hi Stephany, Graeme and Roger. I've just listened to the interview. If he is fearless as Graeme says, then that was an amazing interview, he seemed very respectful, almost in awe of Hayley. He must be a huge fan. Amusing to hear the traffic report as well Interesting comment from Hayley about a tour early next year. Didn't actually pick up if that was Australia and New Zealand. Guess I'll have to listen again Best wishes Grant Edit: Listened to the interview again. The interviewer asks Hayley "When are you coming back down here for a tour" so may be both

Graeme Hi Graeme, You won't regret it - the interview is lovely. According to previously unpublished details on the schedule, that programme has an expected listenership of a million people. Let's hope they all go out and buy the album! Roger Hi Roger, A million people ? That makes an amazingly wide audience. Too bad the interview was that short. Interesting comment from Hayley about a tour early next year. Didn't actually pick up if that was Australia and New Zealand. Guess I'll have to listen again Best wishes Grant Edit: Listened to the interview again. The interviewer asks Hayley "When are you coming back down here for a tour" so may be both Hi Grant, Alan Jones asked for his country but Hayley only mentions NZ. It's highly possible that she had in mind Australia too, though. I can't imagine Hayley doing a tour in this part of the world without extending it to Australia.

Hi Stephany and everyone,
Actually Steph she did, back last year the last time I seen Hayley's concert which was wed Jan 18th 2006 here at the CH CH Town Hall.
Hayley did a tour of NZ and then headed straight off to do the El divo tour in the US and other places,Australia wasn't included but I would imagine it will this next time.
I always had a feeling 2008 would be the next tour here in NZ,
cheers,
Rodders

She definitely intends to do a NZ tour in early 2008 but she says nothing has been confirmed. Fingers crossed ! Oh how wonderful and how typically Hayley, she's not sure where she's going to be when. I love it. That reminds me, in answer to a certain question Roger gave Hayley an answer, as she didn't know it--although it was something one might have expected her to know--on the other hand, as it was simply a statistic, perhaps not. He then wondered if he had actually given her the right answer... I'll say no more so as not to embarrass him or pre-commit him to a Hayley interaction, but the last time I spoke to him I wasn't clear if he'd had to get back to her to confirm... I'm sure he got it right and if he hadn't... I'm sure he plucked up courage to tell her... eventually!!! As for January 2008. Hopefully I will have got my health fully sorted by then and know for sufficient sureness early enough as to commit myself to the necessary advance planning. Peter S.

He must be a huge fan. Whether or not a fan, perhaps he was simply(!) in awe of her. Aren't most of us when first meeting with her. To believe a 'professional' was just as affected is rather grand. Then of course, there was the reported response of Lloyd Webber in hearing her live for the first time. So, we are not simply all raving nuts at HWI. We just know a jolly good thing when we hear it ... and multiply from there. Peter S.

I don't think I've come across his comments yet. Thanks! Stephany

I read the the title of this thread and thought it said 'Aled Jones' speaks to Hayley'! I was wondering why he had developed an accent! He sounds like a masculine Dame Edna!

Well, I think you catch me out there, Stephany regarding Lloyd Webber's comments. It was in relation to the function at the American Ambassador's home in Regent's Park (the Queen, President Bush and Tony Blair attended).
What I had in mind was a possibly second-hand press report but I believe Hayley was quoted at one time as saying Llyod Webber had asked if he could write a song for her. We have been waiting in anticipation ever since. Maybe, when his current theatrical preoccupations have concluded, he will settle down and put his mind to it.

Tranquil Calm Max! Yes, I'll have to try some of that! On the other hand Hayley's voice is good at settling the mind! :je

Thanks for the story, Peter. I have a lot of admiration for Mr Lloyd Weber so an association with Hayley would no doubt turn extremely well. Fingers crossed. Best wishes, Stephany
