Katherine splits with Warner Music

Hi Nicola,

Yes, I started wondering about Sony when I saw tweets being exchanged between Katherine and Simon Cowell the other day. Apparently SC said something derogatory about Katherine on BGT (I didn't see it) and them apologised to her on Twitter. Knowing SC, that could well be a publicity stunt, so I would not be at all surprised to see Katherine sign up with Sony. They might even get her some exposure on SC's prime time TV shows. Sony could actually be very good for her.

I don't know what the DM has against Katherine, but she sure doesn't deserve the vilification she is getting.

Martin, what happened was Cowell had just seen the semi-final performance of Aliki Chrysochou, a singer who he seemed to think could be the next KJ and it was then he made the derogatory remark. It doesn't matter anyway because Aliki didn't make the final but Cowell does have a "wildcard" where he can reinstate a losing contestant so we may not have heard the last of Aliki !
