Ah yes, myself as well. Haven't seen it in years though. Saw the play version once too, but I barely remember it -Rory

You'll Never Walk Alone. She'd probably get lynched. They take their football seriously up there! Martin D 'You'll Never Walk Alone' would be a nice addition to the new album. Such a great song. I love the Gerry & The Pacemakers version. I've been to Celtic Park in Glasgow (where it's also played before matches, and sung once by Hayley back in 2003, if I'm not mistaken) and heard 60,000 fans singing it. It's an unbelievable sight, and a truly memorable experience. Your hair stands on end. Even if you're not a fan of Liverpool or Celtic (or football, for that matter), you can't help but feel this is something special when the song is played at Anfield or Celtic Park. That moment the record stops playing over the PA system, and the fans take over. A sea of scarfs, fans belting out this great song. Magical. See for yourselves... www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bGTIFDNmxEwww.youtube.com/watch?v=OoojK9NVQ7c

If I'm not mistaken, this is Hayley singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone' at Celtic Park in November 2003, before the Celtic v Bayern Munich match in the Champions League. There's also a piece of 'Henrik Larsson is the king of kings' just afterwards, but I'm not sure if it's Hayley or not. www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0-7rxPy4wUAll three links fixed - Richard

I listened to another version of Hushabye Mountain, by a singer named Kimberley Walsh. I liked it even better than Stacey Kent's. I really like it, and I would most definitely be interested in hearing Hayley's version. Come on, Decca, the month's almost over! I can't wait much longer. I'm searching the CD stores almost every day just to see if there's any update. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hi Martin and all, You`ll Never Walk Alone would not be a selection of mine. It was used as an anthem by United fans prior to it being used by Liverpool fans. Hayley could of course record another song associated with football with The Fields of Athenry.
Stephen.

I could care less which team it "belongs" to, but since she's already recorded it before, I won't miss it. I really like the version by CW, and that's good enough for me. I'm ready for new songs, for the most part. Have I mentioned that yet? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Dave, I wish you (and Bob and me) hadn't been told anything about when to expect the announcement, because it's just making me that much more impatient for it! But, I guess it's the music stores' fault for posting questionable information so early. Ahhh, I just want to know everything, once and for all, right now! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hayley, Pele, Gretzky. You can call any of them "The Great One".

If there's an album to be released, then let it be released. Name is irrelevant. As long as it's Hayley, call it whatever you will...

Hayley let the cat out of the bag first though, so even if we hadn't been told anything more than "there's a new album", I suspect we would still have been straining at the leash, wondering "when?" and "what?" etc... I'm sure that at one time, mid April was the planned announcement date (as evidenced by some information going out to a few online sellers, which would have been done by Decca) but we also know that record companies have a habit of delaying release dates and sometimes, changing titles! Hayley's long stay in the Far East may have something to do with it, even possibly Nights on Broadway, but who knows? Not me, that's for sure! Cheers, Dave

But having just a tiny bit of knowledge (that may or may not change, as you say) of the album, and being told that it would be officially announced at a certain time, and then it's not, is just driving me crazy! In a good way, I guess. LOL Okay, so she's busy on tour, but they must have known that long enough ahead of time to know that she might be otherwise occupied. Although I still don't know what Hayley herself needs to do now, other than maybe some article interviews. I suppose that's what they're waiting for, so they have some articles to go with that announcement? Okay, okay. So, maybe we might know within the next "couple" of weeks? I keep reminding myself that time goes by pretty quickly. But when you're at work, waiting impatiently to go home, it sure doesn't feel like it!

Yes, three! The timescale is now starting to look extremely tight for a June release, if they manage that it will be the shortest time from official announcement (with cover, track lists etc.) to release date that I can remember. I'm sticking with my guess of "sometime this summer" for the UK, anyway. Cheers, Dave

I think we can expect to hear more details very soon now that Hayley is back in the UK. That means final details can be agreed, like for example the album cover and artwork which I'm sure will be based on the photoshoot that happened the day before Hayley left for the Far East. Perhapsall it now need is Hayley's approval.
