That must have been the one described as "Heaven Road" in some of the articles. I liked the sound of it, too.
Yes, definitely, we need a Chinese/Taiwanese "album thing".

Although some of those Chinese/Taiwanese songs that Hayley has done are so good that I think they would fit really well onto an international release album. Her Chinese/Taiwanese fans would love them and her international fans would think they were unique. Cheers, Jillian

By the way, I noticed that this concert was being filmed with proper camera jibs and the lot. Wonder if there will be something from this?

I have real problems with this one. It is unwatchable. Too slow. Keeps starting and stopping with popup (I presume) adverts. Couldn't download it either. Any advice. I really would like to hear this song in full.

Unfortunately I don't have a mobile that will do that. Mine is an actual phone that I switch on about 3 times a year. I think it will do texts as well as phone calls, but have never tried it. I did have a work phone at one time that did a bit more, like taking photos and videos, but they took it away from me when I went semi-retired and down to working 2 days a week. Said I didn't use it enough. No chance of playing a vide for sure. And I think my laptop needs a lot more bandwidth than a phone. These Chinese sites are weird, Freecorder won't look at it. If someone can find a way to get it onto YouTube, I'm sure it would be much better.

It appears that Hayley wore 4 dresses for this concert! The red one, the blue one, the green one, and the purple one! And she had her hair up some of the time, for a change. I think it's very becoming on her, it's a more mature and elegant look. I think she should do that more often. The video worked fine for me, and I'm not using mobile (I'm in the same boat as you, Martin, though I use my phone more than you, I'm sure LOL). Listen to that note at 3:51-3! I've never heard a sound like that from Hayley before! It was a "whoa, is that Hayley?" moment.

Hello folks! The video played perfectly for me too. It was a superb performance by Hayley, but the Fake Factory's background images were too distracting and overpowering for my liking. A series of still images would have been much better. Richard

That has to be the best performance of hayley EVER!!! So power packed! And the song is amazing! The ending was flawless! That riff! sounded so perfect! And the falsetto note that followed saying "So hooooo" Im guessing, and Fa aa aaaaa was sooo osm! I really REALLY want her to record atleast that song!
At the least I want a proper recording of that song in that concert XD, sooo amazing! It's on repeat. Such control in those high notes, damn she was belting it out : D

Imagine what that would have sounded like actually being there! I know from seeing Hayley live that there's a power and range there that is yet to be fully captured on record. The fan videos from Taiwan and China are making me desperate for a recording of some of these songs! Cheers, Jillian

Well, there have been developments and I have now heard it. I commented about my problem with it on the Facebook page of Hayley's Taiwanese fan group (Hayley Westenra Fans in Taiwan), and they offered to try to get the owners permission to put it on YouTube. Meanwhile, my Hayleyonline colleague Spiderman has jumped the gun and uploaded it to YouTube. I hope the video owner doesn't mind! The YouTube version plays perfectly, and I actually thought the sound quality was better than the Youku version. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj4C28T_a6YWhat a fantastic performance! Martin D

A series of still images would have been much better. Richard Hi Richard, Perhaps if you were Chinese, the background images would be less distracting to you. Have read that the song, "Road To Heaven", was written to commemorate the grand accomplishment of the Chinese government in building a railroad into Tibet, the world's longest and highest highland railroad, an engineering marvel. Thus, the railroad, the mountains, the clouds so prominent in the background tie into the song so that the Chinese audience had a very effective connection between what they were hearing and what they were seeing. Not being Chinese, I certainly agree with you, that the background was far too splashy. BobS www.atimes.com/atimes/China/HG13Ad01.htmlwww.youtube.com/watch?v=xwst9gQ9Xgw
