St Augustine Anglican Church is perched on a hill side near the Dyers Pass road in the Port hills above Christchurch.
The concert started at 3pm and the church was packed to see Fiona, Bob Heinz a guitarist and Tom Rainey a pianist. John was there to video the concert so expect some videos later.
Fiona and Tom on the piano opened the show with Nature Boy an Eden Ahbez 1947 song made famous by Nat King Cole.
Then Bob joined them on stage and they played Douce Ambiance a Django Reindhardt Gypsy anthem written in 1943.
Then one of Fiona's new songs about being in France called Memories.
Autumn Leaves was a French song written in 1945 by Joseph Kosma and Jacques Prevert.
Fiona and Tom made use of the Church Organ to do a fabulous version of John William's Schindler's List.
Then another Django Reinhardt number called Swing 42 written in 1941.
And Reindhardt's Nuages 1940 song was fantastic. It is also called Clouds in English.
Then only the second time Fiona has played her new song Swing Driven Thing which I think is great.
Fiona took a well deserved rest and Bob and Tom on the organ did a duet but I didn't catch the name of the song.
Then a big surprise for us (and I think for him too ) was that Fiona got her husband Ian to come on stage and they both played her now well known song Tangissimo.
And then Bob, Tom and Fiona played the Fiddlers on the Roof song Sunrise Sunset.
And lastly they finished with Sweet Georgia Brown a 1925 Jazz song by Ben Bernie and Maceo Pinkard.
I only took 2 photos of the concert as I didn't want to disturb the fellow audience.

Afterwards we had supper in the church and I had a nice red wine and lemonade drink and some yummy snacks. I got to see Ian and Fiona. They have been making a new CD so hopefully we will see it soon.
