I thought this might be a fun idea, since things are a bit slow at the moment. Scenario: - You have won a contest out of Classic FM Magazine to go do something with Hayley!!
- You can go anywhere (excluding the depths of the ocean and outer space).
- All expenses paid.
- Edit: You can also let Hayley decide where to go!
Rules: What would you do? Go to a movie, or perhaps on a shopping spree? Be imaginative! If I got to spend a day with Hayley, she would show up around 9-ish. I would take her on a picnic, at a local park during late summer/autumn, near this stream I know. Of course there'd be fried chicken, cornbread, and sweet tea. We could go fishing. Then we'd go to see a play, probably Wicked. We'd go to a nice lunch at this Japanese hibachi restaurant. After that, we'd go to a local recording studio, and if Hayley were up to it, record a song (maybe a duet). Not for general release or anything, just for fun. We'd go to dinner at this great local pizza place. After that, the day would be pretty much over (around 10-ish). I'd say I had an awesome time, and Hayley would say goodbye, and be driven off. That would be my day with Hayley: very simple, but different and fun. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hi Taylor. Don't care where or what else, but I would just love to play and write music with her. Maybe all day lol. It's not too often that you get to do what you love with someone who you love that loves to do it too! It'd be really cool if a contest like this existed though. Of course I'd be super-jealous of whoever won if it wasn't me haha i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif-Rory

Hmm, well I would be fine if she picked the places and events of the day. I would love to tour either Christchurch, or even London, particularly the vicinity of her neighborhood, or be allowed to tag along during her concerts, or whatever else she does for her music career there. Or even something as "ordinary" as the farmer's market she talks about going to sometimes. Anything in London or NZ would be interesting to me, even if it's normal to those who live there. On the other hand, it would be nice to have Hayley come visit my home state, although there are tons of places to take someone who's never been there. I would go by her interests, but I think I have a fairly good idea. If it was summer time, I'd probably take her to Mt. Rainier National Park, to the Paradise trail, since it's not too bad of a hike (depends on how far you go; you can climb the whole mountain from there, if you wanted to!), and there are very beautiful wildflowers there. Pike Place Market in Seattle is a popular place to go, although I've never visited, despite the fact that I've lived near Seattle my whole life! I could have gone for a field trip once, but I stayed at school instead. Oh well, maybe someday.. with Hayley!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Yeah, right, LOL.

One fine day I would ask Hayley to abide with me to Scarborough Fair, and as she moves through the fair with amazing grace, a summer fly might land on her head, but what you never know won't hurt you. We would swim across the river (even though the water is wide) in order to see both sides now, and maybe after dark, waltz over to Wuthering Heights where they serve the last rosé of summer and we'll toast, "Here's to you!" There could be a melancholy interlude if we got caught in a summer rain, but we would never say goodbye until it's time for her lezione di musica.

I'm just gonna be lazy and applaud your efforts without adding any of my own!

Decline the prize and pass it to the next eligible female winner. You can pass without the unnecessary commentary. In case you haven't noticed, she has a lot of male fans as well.

I believe that the announcement of the winner would be days or even weeks before I would finally spend one day with Hayley, so the first thing I would do is practicing my English to be better. As an Indonesian, I don't use English in my daily conversation. I don't want to make her confused with my pronounciation, and I hope I would never ask her to repeat her words because I don't understand what she says. I would write down ALL questions that I want to ask, just in case there would be some awkward moment and I don't know what to do. I actually did that when I won a quiz to meet Christian Bautista - a Filipino singer and actor - in Manila, two years ago.
I'm not sure that Jakarta - the city where I live - would be the perfect place to meet Hayley. Personally, London is my #1 dream destination, but Hayley grew up in Christchurch so I would choose that city instead.
I would arrive in Christchurch early morning, and somebody would pick me up at the airport. I would meet Hayley at 8 and we could have breakfast together.
After having breakfast, she would ask me where to go and I would say it's up to her. She would show me her school and her favourite places to go. If we are lucky, there would be rugby match that day and we could see All Blacks play (and win) the game.
It is possible that the weather is not good that day. If it is so, I would change the plan. We just stay indoor and I could teach her to play 'congklak', a traditional game from Indonesia. I would show her to play 'klungsu' and 'minuman' as well. For those two games, the more is the merrier, so she would ask Sophie to join us.
Finally the night comes and it's time to say goodbye. I have to go to airport to catch the flight to Jakarta. I would tell Hayley that I enjoy the day very much, not to mention that I am tremendously happy. We would take a picture together. I don't mind what Hayley wears - she will just look pretty as always - but I know what I would wear: a t-shirt with 'JUST SPENT A DAY WITH HAYLEY WESTENRA!' on it.
