Today, as I was sorting through a mountain of music I recently acquired, I came across a song book titled "50 Songs You Like To Sing" that was published in 1937. I came across "Whispering Hope" in the table of contents. I excitedly flipped to the page to see if it was the same "Whispering Hope" Hayley sang. It is!!! It was written/composed by Alice Hawthorne. I didn't realize this song was that old. I got so excited I just had to tell everyone i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifYes, I know, I'm a nut...a music nut!

Love Whispering Hope and if you look up Scarborough Fair you will find it is significantly older But Hayley knows that.

Yes, I've read that about Alice Hawthorne, too.

Whispering Hope was one of my Grandfather's favorite songs. I always think of him when I hear it. I remember as a young boy sitting next to him in church when the congregation would sing this song. He would cup his hand around the back of his ear so he could hear better. I will never forget the very slight, peaceful smile on his face as he listened - like the words and music were delivering a personal message just to him. I know he would have loved to hear Hayley sing it.
