We seem to have a technical issue. The updating of Hayley's tweets on the main HWI site seems to have stopped 3 days ago. I have also noticed that the code on my own website that displays my latest tweets no longer works, and neither does Bob C's Hayley's Tweets site at rgc.webstarts.com/tweets_2.htmlIt seems Twitter must have changed something.... Hi Martin D, Yes, this is very annoying. They've suddenly abandoned their embed code and changed to Embedded Timelines. See here: dev.twitter.com/docs/embedded-timelinesLooks like I'll now need a Twitter account to set one up, *when* I get some spare time, I'm in the middle of upgrading my PC system, backup and operating systems and it's complicated, GRRRRR!!!! If you get there before me, let me know how it goes! Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave, I've cracked it! Just followed the instructions and it worked. But it looks a bit different, see my site at homepage.ntlworld.com/m.dixon4/ You might want to hack the code a bit. You do need a Twitter account to do it, so I've had a go for you. I'll PM you the code. Untested, but it will hopefully work for you. You might want to play about with it a bit though. Drat, it won't let me send it to you as when I try to send the PM, it appears to try to interpret the HTML code instead of just sending it. Martin D

Hi Dave,
Can't sent PMs at all ATM it seems. So I'll put the code in here
<a class="twitter-timeline" href="https://twitter.com/HayleyWestenra" data-widget-id="257259680781438977">Tweets by @hayleywestenra</a> <script>!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");</script>
Hope this works
Martin D

Hi again Martin D, Been offline formatting and struggling with my new 3TB backup disk and doing multiple other all-too-techy things to my PC. Tip: Don't go beyond a 2TB disk for any purpose, not yet anyway! Just don't! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI received all your PMs OK, thanks, I'll try that code later on Sunday. We should probably move this discussion to the Technical board now, otherwise it's just going to annoy people, so I'll do that now and post a link to it back in the Hayley Twitter thread. Cheers, Dave

Well I've mostly finished my home system changes now and everything is working properly again. Solved the 3TB disk problem by using Windows 8 64-bit and can run Windows XP within it in a virtual machine to solve program compatibility issues, and it should now be future-proofed for a couple of years. I can now sort out the website Twitter updates tonight. HWI uses a 'Drupal' twitter module so I need to update that from their support site, and while looking into it, I noticed that Twitter will be making further changes next March, but this time, forewarned will mean forearmed. Did your new code work for you, Martin D? Cheers, Dave

Well done Dave, Just got to sort Bob out now. I have had a go at Twitter support about this. Seriously annoyed that they did this to us with no warning. Martin D
