Hello everybody! I sent an email to Plain FM this morning and it turns out that there was an error in the interview date. It aired on October 31, 2007 and it was recorded when Hayley was in Christchurch last week. The picture I posted in the message above is therefore very recent. Following my request, the station manager uploaded the podcast HERE. It's a very interesting 16 minutes interview about her book, going into opera, upcoming concerts in Australia and the US, the All Blacks, going to Laos for UNICEF, her next unique album, singing & playing at the piano in concerts, etc. Stephany

Hi Stephany, WOW, you are excelling tonight! Laos? What happened to her projects in Ghana? It's not even on the same continent! Perhaps all will be revealed when I listen to the podcast. I am downloading it now. Roger

Hi Roger, Thank you very much for your kind words This is probably one of the most interesting interviews we've recently heard because Hayley reveals quite a lot of her new projects! Laos is an interesting choice but we'll see how it really goes. I laughed out loud when she mentioned the machine providing tomato soup at the train station Lots of love, Stephany xx

That was certainly one of the best interviews we have heard. So, the trip to Laos is merely a wish at the moment and not something that is currently being planned. At least we got that sorted out! One thing that struck me immediately was the uncanny resemblance between the voice of the interviewer and that of Dame Malvina Major. I honestly thought it was her for a minute. Thanks for posting the link, Stephany. Roger

Hi Stephany and Roger First of all Stephany, thank you for finding us another very informative interview. Another reference to the "unique" next album - that's going to cause loads of speculation. Also the reference to concerts in Australia and the US - I guess that takes care of March then! Very interesting to hear Hayley say she's doing more on stage with the piano - looks as though "Sonny" may become a regular feature. Wonder if Hayley's piano playing features on this new album? One thing that struck me immediately was the uncanny resemblance between the voice of the interviewer and that of Dame Malvina Major. I honestly thought it was her for a minute. Glad I'm not alone Roger. I felt exactly the same, they do sound very much alike. Best wishes Grant

Hi Stephany , When i saw the pic, i thought that looks like the same top or very similar to what Hayley had on in the CTV interview, All interviews were probably done the same day. But since it said it was may i thought i guess not. I was slightly confused also as Hayley had already gone to Australia the end April

I was slightly confused also as Hayley had already gone to Australia the end April Hi Belinda - as I said above, there was an error on the radio channel website concerning the date. It aired on October 31 and not in May so I believe that you are right in saying that it was pre-recorded the same day than the CTV interview. Stephany
