Hayley seldom looks comfortable at these photo shoots.
Compared with the after concert photos taken by so many of our members, these press photos are usually awful.
I wonder is it the way the photographers address her, or just the coldness of the event ?

Well, it must not be easy to pose perfectly for however long they're supposed to stand there. I know I can't smile like that for very long at a time, it makes my face hurt. And then, all the photographers wanting your picture at once. But she usually handles it just fine. I don't notice her looking particularly uncomfortable here. I notice this is the same dress she wore to the IRB awards the day after the Rugby World cup. I like how shiny and sparkly it is. Forgot the designers name again. It's not Karen Millen, is it? I think there was another Kiwi designer who did this one...Jillian?

Great work, Libby! Here's the photograph of Hayley with Thomas Heatherwick: With Instagram, you have to right click on the picture and select 'View Background Image', then you can save the photograph or copy the URL in the usual way. Best wishes, Richard

Hi Comet
I don't agree that Hayley's press photo's are "generally awful" but it's a lot different facing a barage of press cameras where the resultant images will be used around the world, than a group of fans wanting pictures for themselves. Each member of the press will be looking for "that one shot" that no one else gets and they'll all be shouting their requests at once. We'd all like that of course, but the diffence is, we watch Hayley - we know her - we know what to look for and can take our time to get it. Some of the press probably have no idea who she is and will be keen to move on to the next 'unknown' celebrity as quickly as possible.
It's most noticable at the Classical Brits Photo Call when Hayley attends - the press photos are formal but she knows when she comes over to talk to us, she can relax.
Best wishes Grant

I don't know Grant, I'm sure she must have posed for your camera on numerous occasions. And as you say, I am sure she feels more comfortable when meeting fans than at press photo opportunities.

Oh yeah, it is Karen Millen. I was thinking of the designer who did her RWC dress! Comet, don't you remember the Rock of Ages photos? Most of those were fabulous shots! This one in particular... But as I was looking through the whole set, she looked great in all of them, not a single one looked as though she was uncomfortable.

You think her mind is elsewhere, then she'll suddenly throw you the most amazing smile; or grin or giggle as the mood takes her. The difference is, Hayley's in controlBest wishes Grant

But as I was looking through the whole set, she looked great in all of them, not a single one looked as though she was uncomfortable. The one you chose looks almost candid Libby - I wonder if the press were not being so obtrusive at that shoot, hence a more relaxed Hayley. Best wishes Grant
