Yes, today's Mail on Sunday has a picture of Hayley. Not where you would expect, since it is in the business section. However, they seem to have got things a bit wrong. I was not aware that she had a recording contract with EMI, and the only music of hers on that label as far as I know is as a guest artist, for example on Karl Jesnkins' The Armed Man. Or do they know something I don't? Martin D

Well, I know why. Ennio Morricone is with EMI, so that could be where their mistake came from. As for your question about Virgin on Hayley Online, Hayley's book was published by Virgin. I'm pretty sure she went to some event back then where the background thing said "Virgin" all over it. I even remember what dress she was wearing. She was also wearing it at some event where she was pictured with Lang Lang, and also another time with some fancy cars.

Hi Martin D, Taylor and Libby, My guess is a (sadly not uncommon) newspaper error, I would be very surprised if Hayley ever moved to an EMI label. The online version of the article does not now include Hayley's photo or mention her, and the related article it links to has a photo of Joss Stone. It is pleasing though that someone at The Mail first thought of Hayley to include as an example! That's what being established in the UK music industry does. Perhaps they were reading about the new Mike Oldfield compilation on which Hayley appears, added 2 and 2 together and made 5? Cheers, Dave

Hey, whatever gets Hayley in the papers! If anything, it'll make people either wonder who she is, or remind people who have already heard of her about her and make then wonder if she has anything new (that's if they didn't see all the promos for Paradiso). The fact that they're listing her as being with EMI won't affect anyone's decision to check her out. All they have to do is put her name in a search engine. The record label won't make much difference to them. I for one am definitely not complaining about this mix-up.

You are right Libby. We need Hayley to get as many mentions as possible in the media.
