Richard to the rescue! LOL That one word that appears to be stolen misspelled would not have helped me one bit!

Yes, I suspected that "stolen" might be the American spelling of stollen. American spellings often leave out letters. I don't know what else "stolen" might be, when used as a noun rather than a verb or adjective. I've never heard of a stolen, and my dictionary doesn't help. Martin D

Are you serious?? The British spell the word stolen (as in something was stolen) differently? In that case, why is the movie title spelled like we spell it, if it's not being released in America?

Hello Libby! The movie's story involves the kidnapping of a baby, so the title is probably short for "The Stolen Child": thestolenmovie.com/synopsis/It looks a bit grim, so I'm only interested in Hayley's contribution. Richard

Richard Missing letters out is one thing, but it now seems they are missing whole words out! "The Stolen" on its own doesn't make sense. So is it a misspelling of stollen or stole was my point! I agree, I don't much like the sound of this film. Or perhaps I WILL like the sound of it, if Hayley is singing, but probably not the story. Martin D

Richard No kidding. LOL I've known that for years... really! I agree, it might not be a very pleasant story, and I'm not sure how I'd watch it, since it's only released in the UK and NZ. Martin, those who are aware of the name of the dessert I'm sure spell the name correctly. It's quite obvious I have never heard of that thing at all, so how would I know how to spell it in any country?

Apparently, we need to watch this space! So, if nothing else, we might have a soundtrack with Hayley's voice on it soon. I would guess the soundtrack recording would be done in London, but I suppose it's possible for it to happen in NZ. I'm sure stranger things have happened. And they have... she recorded something from Hushabye in Singapore! (I tend to think that was Bridge OTW or Bao Bei, but we'll probably never know).

Hello Libby! I suspect it might be the release date. Looking at the hashtag, it appears that the film has already had a few private screenings to distributors. twitter.com/hashtag/thestolen?src=hashRichard

Oh, I didn't mean that I thought the announcement would be about the soundtrack.

Berlinale is the Berlin International Film Festival. I wonder if there is going to be a NZ premiere this month and if Hayley will go to it.

Notice there are 3 separate dates for screenings: the 9th in Auckland (and doesn't mention Berlinale), and the 10th and the 13th, which does say it's the Berlinale. I'm sure the actors will be there, at least.
