Hi Libby and everyone,
I hope so too but of course, we have had no indication so far that Hayley will be attending in any capacity (and yes, I have asked!), I think those of us who have tickets are just hoping that as her album is nominated directly or indirectly three times, she will appear. It would certainly make sense and it will be nice if she does. But we don't yet know.

I have just watched the Classic Brit item on Alan Tichmarsh's show. The artist on was Alison Balsom who is not in the best album category so cannot be voted for.

And tomorrow, Military Wives, who certainly can! I can't see anyone even coming close to them in the voting because of their "story" and massive (perhaps unprecedented) amounts of TV airtime over the last year - but we can but try, so if we haven't already, let's vote vote vote!  Cheers, Dave |

Well, the reason I assume she'll go is that we aren't aware of anything else in her schedule at that time that would conflict with going. And I doubt she or her management would want her to miss the chance to go, especially since she's nominated, for an album with Ennio Morricone, no less. Even if the CBA people don't ask her to perform, I would think she'd at least go. She has all the other times she was nominated, and even once when she wasn't! So, unless she has something else lined up around the same time, I think it's highly probable that she'll go. I have a feeling her management will allow room for this. I don't think she'll just stay home. I can't see her missing it. Hey, if Ennio Morricone is nominated, maybe he'll be there, and they'll arrive together! Maybe on a motorcycle, like in her photoshoot! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Just kidding, just kidding...  But I won't rule out that they might appear together somehow. |

I'm hoping Hayley's little outbreak of Twitter excitement several hours ago is related to it but of course it could be something completely different. I absolutely agree with you, Libby. The Classic Brits are the one of the big moments for stars to get some attention and publicity (not to mention the networking opportunities which could be had from having so many people in the industry in the same room) that it would be madness to miss it unless something else important (like a tour) was planned. I wouldn't be at all suprised to see Hayley attend since it used to be a regular event in her diary until recently, invited by and sitting on a "Decca/Universal" table with other staff from Bedlam. Where did the Military Wives nomination come from?
As I see it, the nominees are:
1. Concerto — One Night in Central Park - Andrea Bocelli
2. And the Waltz Goes On - André Rieu
3. Pride of the Nation - Band of the Coldstream Guards
4. Summon the Heroes - Band of HM Royal Marines
5. Summertime - Craig Ogden
6. Paradiso - Hayley Westenra
7. The Last Rose - Laura Wright
8. The Guitar - Miloš Karadaglić
9. Noah - Noah Stewart
10. Anthems - Russell Watson
No Military Wives there. I think with the "Military" vote split 2 ways, Hayley has a real chance if we all get behind her. So vote, and try to get your family and friends to vote for Hayley too. I think the biggest threat is Andre Rieu (which of course features Hayley too).

Where did the Military Wives nomination come from? From me  but you are quite right, theirs is a singles nomination (Wherever You Are - which it will win). Their no. 1 album I was thinking of was out in March this year so too late for this year's nominations. Being so late in the year, the CBA seems a bit out of touch with the nominations this year. I've voted 4 times and encouraged some of my friends to vote too, mostly I think because they feel I've been pestering them for the last few days so they voted to shut me up haha,although they will admit they like some of her music when they are in the right mood, either way that's 9 votes for Hayley best wishes Sing  |
