Well Paul, I dont have that problem, Got back from Wales without drowning today. My only problem is whether to overnight or not. It is borderline for a one day trip from here. So I eithr do an out and return in the car, or take the camper van and stay overnight (there is a caravan site at the festival). Still haven't decided.

I've looked throughout the whole of the four-day programme and I don't see Charotte Church as a performer.

Mind you, she does get a mention on the 27th August list, of Annelies aged 7 having performed live on stage alongside the likes of Charlotte Church and Russell Watson.

Gŵyl Gobaith (Festival of Hope) Hopes For Charlotte Church Return In 2013

With great regret the organisers of Gŵyl Gobaith wish to inform all that are attending that Charlotte Church will no longer be performing as part of the line-up at this year's Festival where she was due to perform as part of a multi-artist concert on Saturday 25th August, at Deeside College / Glyndŵr University Grounds, Northop.

Charlotte has issued the following statement: "Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, I won't be able to play at this year's Gŵyl Gobaith. I hope to perform at the 2013 Festival to make it up to those of you who have already bought tickets".

Festival Founder and Artistic Director, Rhys Meirion commented "It is a great shame that Charlotte is no longer able to join us at this year's Festival but there will always be a welcome for her at Gŵyl Gobaith and we do hope she will perform next year. However, there is still a great line-up at the Festival on the Saturday with a host of local bands and up and coming singer-songwriters including Jodie Marie, Lucie Jones and fresh from the BBC's 'The Voice' David Faulkner all taking to the stage. We will also see some very familiar faces from the Welsh music scene on the line-up including Elin Fflur, Al Lewis, Mr Phormula and Masters in France, with headline act Bryn Fôn all set to give the audience a concert to remember".

I think we might need to heed Hayley's advice and be prepared for a bit of precipitation. The forecast looks a bit dodgy at the moment.

There is a low centred over Ireland on Friday with an occluded front wrapped around it that will track through Wales, which is expected to bring rain and drizzle. It is difficult to be sure of the timing this far out though, so I think the best thing is to keep our fingers crossed, but be prepared.

Not always easy to see Hayley afterwards at outdoor events but you know we will try.
