The programme for Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall's visit to New Zealand has not been announced yet, but a Hayley Westenra performance may be on the cards now.
The New Zealand singer was at a Commonwealth Day reception attended by the duchess in London on Monday to celebrate the achievements of "inspirational women".
A report on the Prince of Wales' website quotes Westenra as saying she and the duchess spoke about her trip to New Zealand later this year and "she's looking forward to it which is very exciting”.
"She suggested I could sing when she's out there, which was lovely," Westenra said.
The prince and duchess are expected to include Westenra's quake-stricken home city of Christchurch on their New Zealand itinerary in November. They are visiting as part of Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
