When Hayley performed at Venue Cymru in Llandudno, Wales on 9/24 the announcer said from the stage in introducing Hayley that she had just started her own charity. Any info on this?

There is really no viable info that Hayley has started a charity at the present. Perhaps the announcer misspoke. Have a great day, Joe

Hi Joe amd Glenn
I was also present at the concert in Llandudno on 24th September and don't recall any mention of Hayley's own charity. I have always supported those area where Hayley has a charitable interest so think I would have noticed such a reference.
Best wishes Grant

They might have meant she has a new charity she's working on, which might be that East Africa one. But that wouldn't be her very own charity, it would be UNICEF, I'm pretty sure.

There are perhaps new charity projects that Hayley is getting involved in, perhaps with UNICEF, since her existing ones have achieved thier purpose. And there is also the Classic FM one. Starting a new charity I don't believe, that is a lot of work and I'm sure that there is no way Hayley could ever find the time.

Hi Libby Yes, a new project within her UNICEF remit is possibly what was referred to. We know there are things in the pipeline that Hayley has intimated an interest in. Already being aware of such intention, I probably would not have picked up on it. I agree with you Martin - Setting up a 'new' charity would require time and effort that Hayley would find time to include in her already heavy schedule. Best wishes Grant

And of course, Hayley is one of four Vice Presidents of The Dame Vera Lyn Trust, but that, too, isn't 'her own' charity so perhaps the announcer was mistaken or mis-heard?
Cheers, Dave

Hello Tony! We think there was a misunderstanding in Llandudno. As far as we know, Hayley hasn't started a charity of her own, but she's a good supporter of several major charities which you can read about on the sub-boards. Richard

Oh Im sorry I misinterpreted. I wonder if she will start a charity of her own someday. I know she will. She has the heart.
