Hi all, Hayley Westenra performed 'Santa Lucia' in Dublin on February 23, 2007 on RTE Television to promote her new album "Treasure". A small picture of Hayley is featured on the RTE website but nothing more. How very unfortunate that the video isn't online  It was three days after the GMTV show where she also performed 'Santa Lucia'. Very interesting that she chose this particular song to present 'Treasure' to the world. Stephany |

Stephany Hi Stephany, I guess Hayley chose to open the "Treasure chest" with 'Santa Lucia' because it's such a well known tune and also because her version of the song sounds very upbeat and "catchy"... I think it was the perfect choice!  Hayley's delivery of the song on TV was fresh and fantastic I'm sure you will agree- it was so obvious that she really enjoyed singing that piece... How she brought that song to life!!! I'll never forget it.  Just check out the live performance of 'Santa Lucia' again from 'GMTV' (February 20th 2007) via the Videoplayer... Andrew |

I am very disappointed that I missed this Late Late Show at the time, but you must understand, it is a show you either love or hate. And I do not love it. The presenter is the problem (for me), but usually I would expect to hear if there was something of interest on it, and then I usually have to watch the entire show to see the piece I am interested in at the end. I am surprised I heard nothing at the time, but well spotted Stephany (again !).

yes Gerard, its not a show i really watch much either. im not really a fan of pat kenny. the choice of guests isnt that good. however, i would've tuned in for Hayley.
