I'm slightly surprised that none of the garment commentators has commented on Hayley's hat in that clip.

I doubt that this was a "paying gig" in the usual sense. Hayley has benefitted greatly for her association with the All Blacks and probably wants to keep that friendship on path. No better way to do this than a splendid favour such as this! Add to that the personal satisfaction of helping to make a nice wedding even more special. That said, I bet she and her friends and family are now comp'd for life at AB games.

Hi everyone, just picked up this Google report: www.stuff.co.nz/life-style/weddings/6121385/Dan-and-Honors-glittering-ceremony"Kiwi songbird Hayley Westenra delivered an ''incredible'' rendition of Pokarekare Ana at the traditionally styled ceremony in Marlborough, one of the 180 guests has revealed. The guest, who did not want to be named, revealed details of the lakeside wedding and handed over a copy of the service, which included readings and Christmas carols." ''It was superb. Very, very well done,'' he said. Now was that 'hand over' gratis or for a fee of what size? Peter S.

Seems like a lot of details are out! So it seems that Hayley had quite a role to play in the actual service! I always presumed that she would be entertaining guests at the reception afterwards! Dan and Honor must certainly like Hayley's singing then! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I wonder what 'flowing white robes' means? Perhaps it was an outfit that was selected for Hayley to do the singing in. I'm sort of visualising choir robes, but I'm not sure if that's what it was. Although, I don't really know about all these 'magazine deals' for weddings. All the secrecy and the guests not being allowed to take photos etc all sounds really quite stressful. Cheers, Jillian

Hello folks! Now we have confirmation that Hayley sang at the wedding, I've changed the thread title again. We'll probably have to wait for Australian Women's Weekly before we see any more photographs, but meanwhile here's the article Peter found in full: Richard

Thank you, Richard.
I do these things so infrequently I had to take the simple route.

Hi Jillian and everyone.
My thought was that she might have packed the white evening dress she wore at RVP, since she was going straight from there to NZ.

I thought it might be Pete Doherty, But I can't find a picture of him with that style of bowler hat, very rigid and rounded style, like Charlie Chaplin used to wear

It looks a lot like one of the t-shirts Topshop had a while back with lots of different 80s bands/artist on. Madonna, a-ha and such. Maybe it is an older Bowie pic as someone suggested?

Hi Ross!! Thanks for the scans!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Ha ha ha ha ha ha That might be upstaging the bride slightly, hey! I put my bets on the blue Amanda Wakeley dress...
Cheers, JillianI guess I was right with my guess! So it sounds like this is just a teaser and there will be more photos released after Christmas. The bride, Honor, looks very pretty in her dress. Cheers, Jillian

I'm still wondering what the first article meant by saying Hayley sang an aria. The Woman's Day magazine doesn't mention any arias. So, unless Woman's Day left something out, the other reporter must not know what an aria is. Songbird is a wonderful choice for a wedding! I was wondering if she might sing I Knew I Loved You, but I suppose she probably sang whatever the couple/family wanted her to sing. Jillian, you were right about the dress! Except I'm confused about the white robes now. I suppose she must have changed after her performance.
