Hayley was in splendid voice in "God Save the Queen" but also her timing was impeccable when she finished precisely with the orchestra and not a split second under or over. That's quite a feat.

Thanks everyone for your comments so far, The set was headlined as: "A Celebration of the Movies Starring Rolando Villazon and Hayley Westenra" on a giant screen behind Rolando as he started to sing "Smile". So it was clearly intended artistically as one sequence. It fades to Hayley's 'Whispers' 2m 27 seconds into the 8 minute video. So I guess I'll initially produce the entire thing tonight, and then separately, Hayley's two songs (either together or individually). It will just mean me staying up later (or finishing it tomorrow). I bet quite a few Youtube watchers will think the actress is Hayley! Cheers, Dave

I'd prefer just two. I don't want to have to fast-forward. Actually, I wouldn't mind if they were all separate, if that's possible. But anything is better than nothing.

Any chance anybody got Jai's performance? Did anybody even like it? Luckily lots of his fans were excited to see him on the show, so I'm sure lots of them will at least see Hayley sing the anthem... but I still wish they could hear The Prayer duet, too!

Take your time Dave.
You have a very good point on many thinking the actress was Hayley who know her less well than we do and it was clearly intended from the dramatic point of view that this should be so. One therefore ponders, especially with the caption you hihglighted, why on earth wasn't Hayley doing it?

Well after all that, I had to go out tonight, so missed it. I/m looking forward to Dave's uploads.
Been out of the loop as I've had no internet since 3pm Tuesday. No idea why, but it is back now!

Hi Dave and everyone Out with friends for dinner tonight and only been in a short while so won't have time to watch the RVP until tomorrow. BUT just watched the video of Hayley singing the National Anthem - What a fabulous performance and didn't she just look the business? beautiful, professional and world class. I really don't think anyone can sing anthems the way Hayley can. Thanks Dave for getting it to us so quickly - at least now I will drift off to sleep with a most delightful taster of what is to come. Oh I really can't wait for Hayley's Paradiso tour now! Best wishes Grant

Hi everyone, As I suspected, I had some serious issues while editing and converting the 8 minute HD clip into something suitable for Youtube. My computer kept overheating and I had a few abandoned attempts, as well as one abandoned upload attempt of the finished 485 megabyte video file, and yet another computer re-start. It's currently 45% of the way through a 75 minute upload so it should be available there between 1:30 am and 2 am UK time (30 to 60 minutes from now). I am holding my breath hoping that Youtube don't mess up the lipsync, as they sometimes do, I really really do not want to upload it again! And then, I'm off to bed! I'll split them out separately tomorrow (well later today ). Oh, I will first do a couple of screen captures from the source files, which should be slightly sharper than Youtube versions, though Graeme's caps from the National Anthem video are pretty good! EDIT just wait until you see Hayley's astonishing dash from the stage to the high balcony after Whispers in A Dream. The intro for Tonight started immediately as Whispers finished, and the stage crew had to wheel a huge rig on - Rolando on top and all! Hayley in her long ball gown had to dash round the back, wait for the rig to stop moving, then climb eleven steps up onto the gantry - she did it in 28 seconds and hit the first note with not one second to spare. It was an immense effort, bravo Hayley! And then, a marvellous duet, too! Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave! Oh I cannot wait to watch this! Thank you so much for all your efforts with the videos and staying up late to edit and upload them! What would we do without you!? I know how hard it is - particularly after all the dramas I had trying to edit and send you a few short videos from Hayley's Australia promo trip earlier this year! So thanks so much, Dave! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Cheers, Jillian

I think they didn't use Hayley because it would have taken too long to get her out of the costume and into her ball gown... as well as redo her hair! It was probably just a timing issue. Cheers, Jillian
