Put your heart in it and have a great time Dori, it will be over far far too soon, the time will fly too fast. Best wishes. Peter S.

Oh lucky fellow, Ross. That is the sort of trip I had in mind for the tour she had to cancel.
Probably as well I didn't. Life is getting expensive and income continues to fall and there may be worse to come, or the present trauma last longer. Peter S.

But you only live once Peter. If you want to do it, do it, there will never be a better time.
For me perhaps there will be, when I finally give up work, and I can spend a good long time exploring NZ. But I gather Thomas will be representing the Northern Hemisphere this time!

Hello from New Zealand everyone! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Having an incredible time here! New Zealand is such an amazing country! The scenery and the environment is just so beautiful! So many green rolling hills, big green jagged hills and hills covered in big trees! Driving between the towns has been amazing! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Quite cold here at the moment! But perhaps that's just the soft Queenslander in me! Have had to do a couple of dashes to the store for warmer clothes! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif There are All Blacks flags everywhere too! You can tell everyone is very excited about winning the world cup! We arrived in Wellington and the next morning had a walk along the harbour. Extremely pretty! The water is a most incredible blue. We then had a look at Te Papa museum (extremely impressive and definitely worth a look!) followed by a ride on the cable cars! We then pushed onto Napier - the art deco city! Very, very unique architecture which was all built in the early thirties after the city was destroyed by an earthquake. They have a very cool aquarium there which had a kiwi bird! They are very cute and also unique. They are also a lot larger than I thought they would be! My friend thought they looked a bit like a cross between an echidna, a wombat and a bird! ha ha ha ha. We also saw piranhas and eels. We were lucky enough to be there at feeding time. The staff would hold strips of chicken above the tank and all these ghastly eels would come jumping out of the water grabbing at the chicken! Lots of fun. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIn Taupo at the moment and did the Tongariro Alpine Crossing today! We left our backpackers at 5:40am and got back at about 4:20pm - so it was a big day! The walk was spectacular! This is where Mt Doom from Lord of the Rings is. Can't wait to share some of my photos with you all! And to get this back on topic, I saw some Hayley posters out the front of Napier's theatre. SOLD OUT! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif So it sounds like the tour is going to be a great success! Will do my best to let you all know how the Hayley concert goes! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheers, Jillian

If I ever do go, I'll have to make sure I try to get to the Tongariro place. When I go to NZ, I want to go to as many LOTR places as possible! And by that time, Hobbit places, too, I'm sure! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
