I think what Libby meant is are we going to get any coverage of the three remaining concerts on this tour. By the way, Ross, your coverage has been first class, so thank you once again.
I would certainly hope so. Robert won't post here I suspect, but Libby and I are both fellow Hayleyonline moderators, so he might allow us to post anything he gets, or at least link to it. I live in hope.

Okay, at least there's more stuff to look forward too. And yes, I'm eagerly awaiting Jillian's videos!

The tour is now over. Hayley made the following tweets.

From the sound clips I've heard I am convinced that Hayley was in her best voice ever on this NZ tour. There is one obvious reason for this: the cleaner, fresher air her homeland enjoys. London is, by contrast, very polluted. It's a fact. New Zealand has optimal conditions for a voice as pure as Hayley's. That's where she should record her music in the future.

I don't think that would make a difference in actually recording music, considering the technology and such. Her last album was recorded in Italy. But performing live, mostly outdoors, it might have a slight effect. If she ever comes to the US, maybe she should perform in say, Montana instead of NYC or LA, LOL.

Hayley had the benefit of several days in the pure kiwi air, so she sang ever so sweetly. Who knows how much better the album Paradiso would've been if her vocals had been done there? We will never know.
I've been through Montana, and yes, the air is very nice but the high altitude makes it thinner. Not sure if that would work for all singers. Needless to say, air quality is a huge consideration for vocalists. If one can "breathe easier" then one can sing better. Hayley's New Zealand tour gave her a chance to show what she can really do under the best conditions.

Yeah, I just didn't notice much of a difference in vocals between these videos and the few videos of performances in the UK and Malta earlier this year. They're all equally great. But then again maybe my ears just aren't as trained.

Err.. wait a minute. I beg to differ.
These concerts were mostly indoors.. yes. And it is well known that indoor air is always far more polluted than outdoor air even in London (where incidentally, the air is currently cleaner than it has been for over 400 years).
Kiwi air is very clean I'm sure, surrounded as NZ is by ocean. In the UK it depends mostly on the wind direction. It used to be that downwind of a great city such as Birmingham, the sun was noticably dimmer - that was back in the days of coal fires and smog. These days that effect is much less pronounced. I'm sure it is the same in NZ.
Indoors though is a different story. I doubt that a concert hall in NZ is any different to one in the UK in terms of purity of air. Both are full of people breathing out CO2.
But as a seasoned attender of Hayley concerts I have noticed that she gets better every time I hear her. So it doesn't surpriise me if her NZ tour was the best ever, even though I don't think anyone was there who was also at her Christmas shows last year or her UK ones this year. You would actually need to be at recent shows in both locations to judge fairly, since recordings never do her justice, neither mine, nor Drew's, nor Jillian's. The cameras we use just can't achieve the necessary sound quality. But they help us to imagine what it was like, so are well worth doing. I would put it down to her own progress. She is still getting better and better all the time. Her Paradiso tour in the UK in March might be even better. I wouldn't bet against it. And in NZ she feels that she is at home, so is relaxed and comfortable, despite certain people who attack her with a virulence we have never seen in the UK.

Martin. she had lots of exposure to the beautiful outdoor air during her visit, and that would go a long way toward making her breathing easy and extra ready for her concerts.

Steve,
I don't think we know how much time she spends outdoors either in NZ or in England. But we know she enjoys being outdoors, and she lives in one of the leafier areas of London, upwind for the most part of most of the city. She is quite close to places like Kew Gardens and Richmond Park. We also know she takes care of her voice. And that she is not a fan of the air quality on airplanes. Perhaps all it takes is to make sure she has a few days in a decent environment after a long flight before she has to perform. At this time of year I would expect her to be keener to be outdoors in summer (ie NZ) than winter (ie UK). But in six moths time that will be reversed. BTW I never spent so much time outdoors in my life than when I lived in arctic Sweden.

I don't think a city park in London is quite the same as New Zealand. I've never been there, but all the pictures I've seen look so much more open and pleasant than London, no offense. London is certainly a place I'd like to visit though, especially if Hayley is in concert. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAs far as the US goes, I think there are a lot of states that have rural, open areas somewhere, although I'm sure some are better than others. How about somewhere in the Pacific Northwest, somewhere where there are lots of tall trees and shrubbery in such. I bet she'd like it over on the Olympic Peninsula, with beautiful mountain views, beach, and forests with tall evergreen trees. There is the Dungeness Spit, which has a wonderful forest trail, leading right down to the beach (the Spit). Hayley seems to like the beach. I think the real reason, though, is that she's happiest when she's in NZ. When you're extra happy/excited/emotional, for some reason that makes your voice fuller, maybe make you breathe deeper. But the quality air probably has something to do with it. Also, warmer, sunnier weather, and less rain and gloom.

This thread is going way off-topic, so I've moved Martin D's next post and Libby's reply to The Chat Thread. Richard

From the photos we've seen I am convinced that Hayley looked her best ever on this NZ tour. Every picture Graeme took is a keeper. That says a lot about his skills as a photographer, but it says even more about his subject's being perfectly put together in all her appearances. Must be something about being back on NZ turf that fully brings her to life.
