Hi -
We should have taken up a collection and sent Grant and Karsten to New Zealand for this tour!
Bob S HaHa! I might have been able to fit a New Zealand trip into my busy schedule (Andre Rieu DVD still unplayed! ) and Peter, I believe Bob was referring photographically - we have a pretty good report writing contingent here in the UK. I am also surprised at the lack of anything from New Zealand - not even a "thank you" tweet from Hayley which is unusual. Best wishes Grant

Patience everbody. This is the first chance I can file a report about last night's fantastic concert. But do not expect a full report or songlist as I don't want to ruin it for Dori, Jillian and others who still have to see a concert. And I want Jillian or Dori to be the first to write their report . But what I will say is that the 5000 seat theatre was at least 3/4 full with only the high up seats not sold. This was the first musical concert for this new theatre so Hayley has created history i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif. I was seated in the second row but to the left of the stage. I was also seated to Robert who runs HayleyOnline so it was great to catch up with him. Chase was a very good singer who must be studying opera going by his operatic voice. Yes Martin, Hayley's voice does sound better live. In fact it has improved so much since the last time I saw her live. She has so much power that at some times the speakers couldn't cope. I bet Arnaud was working overtime to get the best sound lol. The band consisted of Tim on the piano, a guitarist (who I couldn't see from my seat), a drummer, a doulbe bass/bass guitar, cello and 3 violinists and they did a great job for the first concert. All I will say about the songs (at this stage) is Hayley sang 8 songs in the first half with Chase singing 2. In the second half Chase sang 2 and then Hayley sang 9 songs including a duet. There were 2 encores and in one Hayley sat at the piano (I think you now which song lol). But Hayley had problems setting up the microphone stand. She giggled that this didn't happen at the soundcheck. In the end Ash, the tour manager, had to do it. A lady in the front row jokingly valled out to Hayley " Are you sure that was only water in your glass?" to which Hayley giggled. In the end the 2 hour concert was over too quickly, luckily I have 6 more. After the concert Hayley signed autographs and I had a very quick chat. I will post the 3 concert photos plus after concert photos later.

Thanks for your report, Ross! It sounds like another great show, and I'm pleased you managed to have a chat with Hayley afterwards. I'll wait for the photographs before I post anything on our Facebook page. Here's a tweet from Hayley: Richard

I look forward to seeing your pics though!
Best wishes Grant

We don't want anyone to give away too much detail too soon so as to keep it all fresh for those still to come but some titbits of audience reception and the social gathering would be helpful, initially and it seems many have much to say. Take your time and enjoy the sharing with us, please. I had expected the whole family to be there at least for the first concert and I suspect Jill and Gerald at least will be there for most of the tour, bringing back for Jill at least memories of her time touring with Hayley in the UK. Tell the family that when we in England think of Hayley we always have all the family in the back of our minds. Would love to meet Sophie and Isaac. only one or two of us here (UK) have done that. Peter S.
