Hello from Germany

Hello everyone,

I finally found some time to register here! Somewhere here I read that there's a dire need of more active German fans, so here I am i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Well, I got my first Hayley CD (Pure) as a Christmas gift in 2004 - turned out to be one of the best gifts ever. Pure is still one of my favourite albums of all time <3
I was active in the small but nice German Hayley community until they closed the official German site etc - still sad about this =/
I had tickets to see Hayley in late 2006 and I was unbelievably happy and looking forward to it. However, they cancelled the concert and we never got an explanation. However, since I read the recent news about Hayley's health issues back then I guess that could have been why.
I'm still sad though because ever since that day I didn't even get close to another chance to see her live which has obviously been one of my biggest dreams since I first heard her voice. So many lucky forum members have already seen her live and I feel happy for you and hope that I will also get the chance soon.

I recently tweeted Haley (someone posted her answer in the forum's twitter topic) and asked her wether she'd come to Germany to promote Paradiso and I got a rather positive reply which made me super happy. Even if she won't come (noo!) at least I got a tweet back...It would be so lovely, though. A girl can dream, right?

What more can I say...well, my favourite albums are Pure, Hayley Sings Japanese Songs 1, Winter Magic, Paradiso and the NZ version of Odyssey.
I also adore some pieces from Celtic Treasure and some of my favourite songs can be found on Sings Japanese Songs 2.
Better not list all my favourite songs now, the list might be slightly too long, lol

Cannot wait to talk to you all about Hayley! If you have any questions, ask ahead.

Hi Believeagain and welcome to the forum from Central England. We have several German fans here, some of whom travel to the UK to see Hayley.

I think I might have been the one who posted your tweet here. If it wasn't me it would most likely have been jimg or martindn. Hayley does reply to tweets when she can say something positive and there are a lot of fans hoping for a European tour so you may be lucky.

As for your favourite Hayley songs, well, I believe there is a thread here somewhere where you can talk about that - in fact there are threads for most Hayley related topics! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif.

Have fun finding your way around but if you get lost or confused, just post and someone will help.

It's great to know that I will meet some German Hayley fans here - cannot wait to talk to them and you all! I'd love to go to the UK to see Hayley perform but I'm still a student so it's still a bit difficult...but yes, one day.

I do hope you can attend a Hayley concert some day; sorry about the October 2006 cancelled concerts in Germany. I do believe the reason for the cancellation was due to the earlier than planned recording of the "Treasure" album.

Please let us know how sales of "Paradiso" will be in Germany...check your local shops on Monday

It's nice to see that there are still some German fans left, in addition to those who are already here. I actually have a similar vita. The CD Pure was my first album and I had tickets for the tour in October 2006 that was cancelled. But lucky me I saw Hayley already in April 2006 in Oberhausen when she was touring with Il Divo. I was able to talk to her after her performance and was amazed how friendly and down-to-earth she was. I had to see the Il Divo show as well but that sacrifice was worth it to see Hayley.

In the following years I went to the UK a few times to see her and got in touch with HWI. I didn't see her last year and I think it neither works out this year. Her concert schedule for the UK is a little short to find something suitable for a weekend trip for me.

I'm very impressed with Hayley's answer of your tweet. In the past years I asked her a few times for a concert in Germany when I was in the UK and she never had a positive answer for me. Things might have changed meanwhile...

Well, that was really quite a sacrifice, I also don't like Il Divo. Though I was actually thinking about going to that tour but they didn't perform anywhere close to where I live.
Well, Paradiso was released today but still no information about any promotional stuff, sigh! Well, we'll see!
