Hayley has signed a Ukulele as part of the Strings Attached, Ukulele Art for the Play it Strange Trust. There will be refreshments, a performance by the wonderful Mt Roskill Primary Ukulele Band The band will then be joined by All Black Great and ukulele player, Waka Nathan. Waka's ukulele, 'The Black Panther' will be the ONE ukulele to go under the hammer that night at the Webb's event in celebration of the exhibition. Lot 10 Hayley Westenra Paradiso Unique digital print on lacquered ukulele The photo and name ‘Paradiso’ are from Hayley’s latest album with Enio Morricone.Very pretty! They misspelled Ennio's name. Not the first time I've seen it spelled that way.

Wow, this is pretty cool. The ukulele is making a big comeback in the States thanks to singer Eddie Vedder's extraordinary command of it. Before that we had gag singer Tiny Tim with his warbling falsetto and trusty ukulele rendition of "Tip-toe Through the Tulips". I'm glad Hayley is getting behind this cute little instrument.
