That was a good find, Jillian! But for some reason I can't get your link to work I'll add this date alongside the others in the forum! Best wishes, Joe

Hey, no fair! Why does Canada get it before the UK? I notice they list the title as To be Announced. You think Hayley could be going to Canada to promote it? She's been everywhere else for promotions, so far. Oh, but would that take away time from the UK release? So if, according to some of you, she can't do anything right before or right after the UK release, then how's she supposed to succeed in other countries, if she doesn't do anything there, as well? True, it helps if she's successful in the UK. But I think it also helps if she promotes the album there too. The fact that she mentioned Canada as a possible tour destination in one of Nicola's interviews (but no mention of the US), it makes me think she's somewhat more popular there than in the US, therefore, it must be worth it to go there. And if she can't come to the US, then Canada would be the next best thing for some of us who live close to the border.

The Paradiso listed on Canada's Amazon site no longer lists it as an import, although the label is listed as Universal UK. Does that still make it an import? But the price is much lower than it was when it showed it as an import. It was over 20 CDN$, and now it's only 14.99. Also, now it says the release is August 29th, not Sept. 6th, as it said before. So, I wonder what day it really is?

No thoughts? I wonder when we'll know for sure if the date has been changed or not. Or if any of you even care. Do we even have any Canadian members here who are even noticing all this?

Hi Libby,
I don't think not caring is anything to do with it, the fact is that we just don't know. Amazon says one thing and has changed the date; the record company website (still) says 23rd August.
Hopefully someone knows other Canadian online sales outlets that it can be checked against, it would be good to get the Amazon date corroborated somehow. Both suggested dates seem odd to me, I'd have thought they'd release it in October to coincide with the US release and benefit from what we hope is promotional work there.

Yes, but if the US release date is changing as you suggested elsewhere... maybe September 6th is more accurate? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI tried HMV Canada, and I don't think they listed it at all yet. Just out of curiosity, if they list the label as UK Universal, does that mean it's an import, or just that the Canadian release is essentially the UK release?

I don't know why they should make the actual album any different in all of these countries. But perhaps the packaging might differ, the text in different languages for example. The Canadian version might have Engllish and French, the French version French, the German version German etc.

Well, I should hope they're in the right languages, in case someone who doesn't know English very well buys it.

i'd say that the version listed on amazon.ca is another UK import and available on August 29.
I still can't get the universal.ca site to work!

All it says is that Hayley Westenra has an album released the 23rd, and they call it "TBA", and mention Ennio Morricone.

Okay... Amazon Canada has replaced "UK Universal" with just "Universal Music". If this were an import, it would probably be much more than CDN $14.99 (15.26 USD) ! And it would say it was an import. I think this is the Canadian release, even though it has the same code as the UK. I don't know why the Universal website says the 23rd.
