Vote Ennio Morricone: Classic FM Movie Music Chart

Hello everyone,

I am sure that Hayley's current album Paradiso has reminded many of us that Ennio Morricone has composed some of the greatest ever film music - The Mission (Gabriel's Oboe) and Cinema Paradiso spring immediately to mind, among many others. Well, you have until Sunday 10th July 2011 UK time (this weekend) to vote for him at the UK radio station Classic FM.

A high position by Ennio Morricone films will I suspect help the promotion of Paradiso, so it's win-win - but you must be quick, the voting and associated competition closes in just over two days time!

Last year, The Mission was placed 4th, and Cinema Paradiso was placed 11th, so I know what I will be voting for as I'd quite like to see Ennio at no. 1 this year - The Mission gives him the best chance I think and I love it! So let's vote!

Competition rules state that UK residents only are eligible for the prize draw - but the Movie Soundtrack Poll itself does not mention eligibility - so it *may or may not* be possible for members outside the UK to vote.

Anyway, I am off now to vote - I think I'll mention this too on the Ennio board so I will head off over there soon.

Well I have voted for The Mission and you don't have to enter the competition part at all, you can choose "can't go" (to the prize concerts). Looks like anyone can vote.
