There are alot of songs Hayley never sang live, so I'll start listing album wise, from pure onwards. And then we get to mention what songs we really want her to perform live. Pure: 1. Dark Waltz 2. My Heart and I 3. Heaven Odyssey: 1. Dell'amore non si sa 2. Quanta Qualia 3. She moves through the fair 4. My heart belongs to you 5. Here I am (Majesty) Prayer: 1. Listen to the wind 2. Jekyll 3. Here beside me 4. Bridal Ballad 5. Flood 6. I'm Kissing you 7. Tonight 8. There's a Sparkle in your eyes 9. You are water 10. Summer Rain Treasure: 1. Let me lie 2. Le Notte Del Silenzio 3. One Fine day 4. E Pari Ra 5. Melancholy Interlude 6. Bist Due Bei Mir River of dreams: 1. Now is the Hour HSJS I: 1. Hanamizuki (Dogwood flower) 2. Yuki No hana (Snow flower) 3. Shiro Iro wa Koibito (White is the color of love) 4. Tsubasa wo Kudsai 5. Sotsugyo Shasin 6. Jidai 7. I Believe HSJS II: 1. Buds 2. Cresent 3. The Future 4. To me 5. Love Love Love 6. Cosmos 7. Yamoto 8. Mother of mine 9. Any time 10. Flower Winter Magic: 1. Carol of the bells 2. Christmas Morning Please tell me if I've missed out on any songs, or if any of the above mentioned songs has been performed live already. With that said, I feel that it's a real shame that most of the Japanese songs weren't performed live, and astonishingly only one song from HSJS I (Lullaby of Nemunoki) was performed live, especially when it had some of her best songs. Also some of the really dramatic songs (my favs!) also went without being performed live. I recently read that Hayley performed "who painted the moon black" at the Buxton Opera House, which gives us a possibility that she might sing previous tracks at some point of time. So in this topic, let's make a list of all the songs we want to see Hayley sing live My list is as follows, 1. My heart belongs to you 2. Here I am (Majesty) 3. Listen to the wind 4. Bridal Ballad 5. Summer Rain 6. You are water 7. Yuki no Hana (snow flower) 8. I believe 9. Crescent 10. The Future 11. To me 12. Flower 13. Carol of the bells Oh and also you can say which song you're anticipating much for Hayley to perform from Paradiso! Mine has to be... Amalia Por Amor

Hi Simba. While I do accept as fact that Hayley sounds better live than on recordings, many of her songs aren't meant to be performed live, lest they lose their essential character. "Dark Waltz" is a good example: It has a delicate accompaniment that perfectly complements Hayley's !5-year-old voice. I can't imagine a live version that would do justice to the original. "One Fine Day" is also too exquisite to be reproduced in a live performance. And the song "Heaven" uses some vocal filters to bring out certain tones in her voice that don't appear when she's singing live.
I don't want Hayley to attempt concert versions of all of her songs because they already have their perfection in place. What would be the point of doing "Bist Du Bei Mir" in an auditorium with people shuffling feet and occasionally coughing as part of the experience?

I'm sure I heard her sing "Bridal Ballad" at Northampton in November 2004. This was promoting the Special Edition of Pure which included her recording of this song.
I have a feeling she might have done "Let Me Lie" too, but can't quite remember where, so I cold be wrong.

"One Fine Day" is also too exquisite to be reproduced in a live performance. Sorry Steve, Hayley sang "One Fine Day" live for the first time for a BBC Wales recording on 4th June 2007 - it was exquisite! There are quite a few others on Simba's list that Hayley has sung live too. Best wishes Grant

I stand corrected, Grant. It must have indeed been "one fine day" when she sang that live! I know that she always performs "Amazing Grace" with amazing grace. Her song "Heaven" would be a slice of heaven to hear live. Here I am wishing I could to listen to her perform "Here I Am". Then let me lie back in my front-row seat as she sings "Let Me Lie". Furthermore, I believe she would get a standing ovation for "I Believe".

Actually, a lot of these songs she's performed live before. Okay, so I don't have solid evidence on all of them, but I have some recollection of it being reported that she sang them. Dark Waltz - at least once, in particular a concert in the US, in 2007, I believe. The venue name was something like Ulysses, or something. At least I distinctly remember seeing a photo of the set list, and Dark Waltz was on it. I think she might have done She Moved through the Fair before, too. I seem to remember it being mentioned when she was in Canada once. Not entirely sure, though. Summer Rain - I think someone said she sang this once. Don't remember where, and I imagine it was 2007. Let Me Lie - Now, this I distinctly remember - she sang this during her last tour in New Zealand, at least some of the shows, anyway. Now is the Hour - She sang this during her River of Dreams tour, in autumn 2008. And what is "Anytime"? As for songs from Paradiso I'd like to hear her sing live (whether I'm there or not, but hopefully I'll be present at one at least!) are: Whispers in a Dream La Califfa Amalia Por Amor Cinema Paradiso: Profumo Di Limoni Malena Once Upon a Time in the West The Edge of Love Since she sang it on one of the NZ shows, I would guess she'll sing Metti Una Cera a Cena, to keep things livened up a little bit. I think she should sing Per Natale at her Christmas concerts.

Hi Simba. While I do accept as fact that Hayley sounds better live than on recordings, many of her songs aren't meant to be performed live, lest they lose their essential character. "https://i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifark Waltz" is a good example: It has a delicate accompaniment that perfectly complements Hayley's !5-year-old voice. I don't want Hayley to attempt concert versions of all of her songs because they already have their perfection in place. What would be the point of doing "Bist Du Bei Mir" in an auditorium with people shuffling feet and occasionally coughing as part of the experience? I know that, which is why I didn't mention it in the songs I want to see her perform live....But that doesn't mean every other song she hasn't performed life has a reason behind it, no. There are some songs that would be really perfect when sung live, so I disagree. When Ayaka can sing I believe live, I'm sure Hayley can do a much better job. And please don't state those vocal edits in Heaven as a reason, everyone knew "Peace shall come" had echoes when she sang Tonight (tonight), Tonight....but in the live she only sang the main tonight, so it doesn't matter, I think that all Hayley songs can be performed live, because I strongly feel only those songs with so much autotune, editing, effects, techno stuff are the ones that can't be performed live (without any aided machines), but hayley doesn't need all that, all her music is true music. But I think I do agree some songs need her old voice, but that didn't stop her from performing Hine Hine, so we may never know how it sounds now until we hear it, because we may think it's already perfect, but it can sound better now. After all she's a true singer, and performer who can perform anything live. Metti Una Sera Cena required alot of breath, which many would not dare to attempt live (or even attempted to have sung in the first place!), but she did it, even though she had to take a break in between to take a breath there, she took it as a challenge (which she'd perfect in the successive performances), so I'm pretty sure all the songs I "want" to see her perform live would be a real treat. And I didn't say I want her to perform all the songs that she hasn't performed live Okay with that said, people please help me by giving accurate information as to where/when she performed a particular song in my list and I'll strike it out, if you give me a link to the topic where the concert has been discussed, awesome! If you have a video of her performing that song, then even better. Thank you! And you guys are really building my hopes up, Bridal Ballad, One fine day, and Summer Rain performed live o.O.....PLEASE let me know more about this XD

...Since she sang it on one of the NZ shows, I would guess she'll sing Metti Una Cera a Cena, to keep things livened up a little bit. .... "Metti Una Cera a Cena" is a paradigm shift/game changer for Hayley's live shows. It's remarkably uptempo and it gets her snapping fingers to the beat and almost dancing onstage. Yet, she practically danced a bit during this song, and how could she not? The motions were minimal and tasteful, but hinted at enormous potential for Hayley to dance beautifully with her own music. I see this as a breakthrough in her overall stage presence because it will open the gate to further artistic expression in her work. Back to topic: "There's a Sparkle in You Eyes" must have been done live when she performed with Helmut Lotti.

When did she perform live with Helmut Lotti? I probably wasn't on this forum back then, but I've certainly never heard of that. I do know about the music video they did, of course, but I wasn't aware they did it live for a show. It would be nice to hear her sing it live, but then she'd have to have a duet partner. Oops, I misspelled Metti Una Sera a Cena again, and now I've led you all astray! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifYes, she was moving around to the song, but what I noticed more was that thing she does with her hand. It's not dancing, it's more like she's doing it to keep up with the timing of the song, so she starts up again at the right time. I don't happen to think that's that attractive to do on stage. Not that I think it's bad, I just don't really think it's all that great when she does that. It makes you notice her concentrating on her performance too much. I don't blame her for doing it, it just she shouldn't make it show so much. Simba, I know for sure about the Let Me Lie at the NZ tour in 2008, but not about some of the others. I'll try to find which concerts she sang it.

Actually I think nobody has said, but it seems to be implied, that this thread is for songs that Hayley has RECORDED. There are very very many songs Hayley has never performed live or anywhere to our knowledge. And we have another thread somewhere I think for suggestions of songs you would like to hear her sing.

It's a music video so perhaps doesn't qualify as 'live' - just a video. Dave

Libby: No, she didn't snap fingers to keep in track of the beat, not at all, we all know how well hayley is when it comes to matching body mannerisms exactly with the music, I think, the tick tick tick tick sound of the music, would have corresponded to snapping fingers for her, and it works very well in my eyes. not at all, because hayley doesn't stop snapping exactly when she starts again, she stops when the melody plays, so from this it's evident that the snapping fingers wasn't for the timing... how amazing we are at going off-topic XD.... Ross: omg, thanks a lot! I always wondered how that song sounded live, but I thought it was too slow and peaceful and had that healing thing which cannot be brought out live, but hayley proved me wrong again, XD simply amazing.
