Hi everyone,WELL WELL WELL!!!! What an upset eh?
Well done FRANCE and STEPHANY you must be proud of your team thus far. A good match there wasn't much between them really,it was a tough encounter for both teams and in my view. The game of Rugby was the winner.
When you see a tight match such as the France/All blacks game with a very slender margin (2 points ) it shows the caliber of the teams playing and that to me is what a good game of Rugby is really all about.
Well done also to ENGLAND knocking out AUSTRALIA, there is no doubt now, there is a different spotlight shining on this RWC tournament.
So, come on ENGLAND, you have a chance to defend and possibly hold on to THE RUGBY WORLD CUP
good luck guys,
Rodders

Oh Stephany!! Your guys did it!!I'm very happy for you but sad for Hayley and New Zealand. I couldn't watch after France equalled the score at 13 all, then I looked in again for the last 10 minutes and couldn't believe 20 - 18 to France! It was a very close fought contest and I guess the All Blacks can't reign supreme for ever. I just wonder, would they have lost had Hayley sung for them? Of course we'll never know. Now I wonder if Hayley has heard the result. I believe I'm right in thinking her flight, NZ1 routes via Los Angeles on Saturdays. If so the technical stop there should be between 11pm and 1am local time, meaning they are on the ground at the moment. Sorry Hayley, but I'm sure going home and seeing your family is of greater importance at the moment. God bless Grant

Wow...congratulations England and France! I watched a bit of each match on world sport update on CNN. What a shock victory for France!
Looks like a very exciting time leading up to the final.

Very much so, Rodders. It was a tough match for both teams. I feel bad for your players because they really dominated the match and had the ball all the time. But they simply didn't score when they needed it the most. England-France will be an exciting match. Wilkinson & co are back and they will do everything to reach the final and take their revenge on us - especially because we beat them twice just before the start of this Rugby World Cup. That doesn't mean anything though, because you probably know that it's the first time we've won against New Zealand since 2000! Good luck to Scotland and Fidji today. It will be very difficult against Argentina and South Africa but the "small" teams proved that their ambition is second to none. Stephany

Hi Stephany , i congratulate you personally and your family and friends on the win but i have a long memory re NZ and France not sport related from the 80's probably just before you were born which stops me from the full support of the French Win.

That's a part of our history we're not particularly proud of. Hope the All Blacks are not too criticised by the NZ press. They don't deserve it! Stephany

Hi Stephany, I also hope they are not ,as you say they don't deserve it I think they did very well to win all their other games and for us being a small nation. i'm still very proud of them. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAnd now at least we get all our All Black ,Canterbury players back eg Dan Carter , etc The Hi lite of the world cup for me is the NZ Portugal Game the crowd and both Teams were awesome that day. I want to see that match again i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBelinda

Hello Stephany! I'm not really into rugby, but I will admit that I was rooting for the All Blacks because of their association with Hayley. Now I'm switching my allegiance and supporting France, and you! Love, Richard

Well Stephany, what can I say other than CONGRATULATIONS. I won't "crow" after forecasting an England v France semi but on balance France deserved to win. Their defence was magnifique but I do think that the game turned when NZ has a player unjustly sent off for ten minutes early in the second half. Anyway a result is a result so let's look forward to the semis and I fear that France will win next Saturday. But who knows? Sometimes pigs can fly. Martin

That's just great for her and her family after just a very brief visit earlier this year. Martin

Stephany Hi Stephany, Good for you and France...we managed to watch the replay of the last 15 minutes and France got the better of the All Blacks by one Try and a Kick.. .well done, I must say !!![/b] I think the All Blacks would have missed Hayley cheering them on...bummer !! I guess I now have to root for the *May the best Team win*.[/b].[/i].no split allegiance from me...or maybe I am slightly biased towards France...what do you think, Stephany ??Love, Marianne

Hi Stephany Hello Stephany! I'm not really into rugby, but I will admit that I was rooting for the All Blacks because of their association with Hayley. Now I'm switching my allegiance and supporting France, and you! Love, Richard Like Richard I'm not at all into Rugby (sorry Hayley) but I thought I would have a look at this thread to see what was going on. IF I was into Rugby, I would have to support NZ - now that they are out it seems, I will also switch my allgiance to you & France Stephany, as I know you are so passionate about your team Lots of love Mark
