Hi! I am hoping to sing Hayley's version of "Hanamizuki" on my own CD and was wondering if anyone has any information on how to contact the right person to get rights to sing her song. I have a license for the original Japanese version already but now need a license to use Hayley's English lyrics. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hello Holly and welcome to ths forum! I'm so pleased that you want to record 'Hanamizuki' as sung by Hayley on your CD!

I will refer you to Hayley's management (Bandana Management) at www.banman.co.uk/ for any licensing and related questions. This should be your first point of contact.

Now, I would say that Hayley's management also sought a mechanical license from 'Hanamizuki' songwriters, who are Tatsurou Mashiko and You Hitoro.

I would contact your licensor (or others such as the Harry Fox Agency) to review to see if your current license would be adequate. I made a few enquries at HFA on your behalf and was given this info:

Writer(s): YOU HITOTO, TATSUROU MASHIKO

HFA Song Code: H1964S
