Hi Libby Thank you, Jillian. I was actually starting to worry, along with the comments on some of her songs being repetitive. The same verse repeated over and over does sound a bit disappointing. As Jillian says "Here's To You" is one of those songs you have to hear to understand and appreciate. When Dave first posted the lyrics - nine virtually identical verses - I thought "Whahh???" BUT, it is very cleverly performed by Hayley and the melody is quite addictive. Best wishes Grant

'Here's To You' is the same line repeated over and over, but it's actually brilliant. A new musical layer is added everytime she repeats the line and it's a beautiful build up to the finale at the end. It's absolutely gorgeous. <3

Hi Dave Hi Dennis, As others have said, you may need to check that your player's options are set correctly (to go online to get info if music isn't initially recognised). My stand-alone Panasonic home entertainment system (which has an internet connection) did this automatically using the Gracenote music database and instantly recognised Paradiso. I was suitably impressed! Cheers, Dave Windows Media Player is usually pretty good - if it doesn't recognise an album straight away, there is a search function to assist but, it cannot find Paradiso - don't think it found the Japanese ones either! Best wishes Grant

No, WMP didn't find it for me either. I had to enter all the track and album details manually. Then used NTI CD Maker to burn a copy for the car, which includes the details as CD Text which my system displays as each track is playing.

Thanks for your reassurance, everyone. I've started getting it stuck in my head once in a while just from hearing the clips, and it actually is a catchy tune. I'm still holding out on getting it today, but I'm not overly-confident on that. I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever get it.

Hi, Libby, don't be so impatient... I am sure you'll get it very soon. As for me, well, it was holiday today, so wasn't really expecting it, maybe tomorrow...

I too was suprised at how long stuff took to get to you when I sent you a package. I don't know what it is about where you live, or whether there is extra security in the USA for stuff coming from abroad (understandable) but it seems to take longer than I would expect.

Hi, Libby, don't be so impatient... I am sure you'll get it very soon. Don't be impatient? It seems like almost everybody here has it except me, including the U.S. fans. I seem to be the only U.S. fan left without one! Reading all about how great it is, and I'm supposed to not feel impatient? At the very least, I feel horribly left out. And as I keeping saying, I'm the first one to order. It just doesn't seem fair. Martin, you can't blame the U.S. security. All the other Americans who pre-ordered it have it now, don't they? So where's mine? Having said that, my Women's Weekly magazine took just over a week to arrive from NZ. If the CD works the same way, then that would mean I should get it tomorrow. If I'm lucky. Nope, still no CD today, either!

I guess Paradiso is simply too new for whatever server WMP gets its music info from. Windows Media Player is usually pretty good - if it doesn't recognise an album straight away, there is a search function to assist but, it cannot find Paradiso - don't think it found the Japanese ones either! Best wishes Grant Mine did find the info for Japanese 1 and 2, except the Album pictures for Japanese 2. It's worth noting, however, that I bought mine much later than you did. I guess eventually Paradiso will also be recognized by WMP, especially after the U.S. release. Don't be impatient? It seems like almost everybody here has it except me, including the U.S. fans. Your bank might have a serious case of paranoia when it comes to international charges. It always took a while for your card to get charged.

My computer (using Windows MP) did not recognize Paradiso, and I had to enter the track information manually. It did, however, recognize Hayley Sings Japanese songs and River of Dreams. On the technical note, I didn't notice any problems with the mixing, except in Amalia por amor. In that track it does seem as if her voice were just recorded and plugged straight into the final version without any reverb or anything else. Which is fine, I guess, if you want to know what her voice sounds like when she's singing in a room that is completely unflattering acoustically. But again, who wants to hear that? Hayley never has to sing in such an environment (except the recording studio), so why should we have to hear it? That being said, I did NOT notice it for any of the other tracks, and I absolutely LOVE the album. I also still love Amalia por amor. It is probably my 4th favorite track.

Hi Libby, Sorry to hear that your cd didn't arrive so far. I guess, if Marbecks collected all orders in a big box...yours must be on the bottom of it..... Hope it arrives soon !! Greetz Joyce

I LOVE to hear Hayley's raw voice, and the Fallen" DVD is a case in point, all except one of the tracks use Hayleys voice direct from her mike with no reverb. It makes it sound as if she is singing in the room with you! Martin D

Martin D My point was that, if Hayley were to sing in a room with no amplification, she would actually sound better than that, unless perhaps it were like the tiny practice rooms at my school. Naturally, most rooms have some reverb, so it is nice to reproduce that effect, at least a little bit, when producing an album, which is what they did with the rest of the tracks.

Well you could argue that the room you are in when you listen to it adds its reverb. It's characterstics certainly affect the listening experience unless you use headphones.
