I was just curious. Being at college right now, I tend to forget to check back here (and everywhere ) every now and then. I apologize if I was pestering So the Paradiso Tour begins with NZ, right? Well, then maybe sometime in 2012 she'll tour a bit in the States. The promotion could be just that: a heads-up on future US appearances....maybe...? I'm just spewing out some random theories here. Don't worry. these theories aren't of the conspiratorial kind ~Paige

Oh, that's fine. I certainly understand your wish for a Hayley concert! I don't know if they're already intending for her to do any concerts here or not, but maybe they're going to see how the promotion goes first. That's my theory. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

So, Dave, are we just going to have to keep checking the shows' websites in order to find out whether she's on, or do you think they'll tell you closer to when she'll be on. I need to plan my recording/TV viewing accordingly! Wasn't Hayley just on Songs of Praise recently? Are you sure this isn't just a repeat of the same performance?

Hi Libby, Hopefully Sara will let me have the details when she knows (if not, I'll pester her again for info ) or perhaps it could appear on the official site (or both). But that doesn't necessarily mean that Hayley will be on US TV, that has never been suggested - only "promotion for Paradiso". It could be anything media related and of course TV is a possibility as part of that but I'm just guessing like everyone else. Songs of Praise was mentioned ages ago and it's almost certainly a new recording for the show (done in advance) because she probably wouldn't have even mentioned repeats, which are entirely up to the broadcaster. I have a vague feeling that we know this for certain, perhaps something's in the S of P thread? Dave

Well, I just can't imagine why they'd send Hayley all the way here (Hayley herself said she's coming!) for a few articles that she could easily do over the phone as she does for other countries! What else could they possibly do? Maybe an album signing at the B & N in NY? That would be nice for New Yorkers, but that's not going to do much for her here. The only way to properly promote her album to the whole country, she has to be on national TV, that's just all there is to it! Nothing else is going to cut it! Maybe radio too, but TV is the best way. I happen to believe that they think that Paradiso is worth promoting properly in the US, so I'm sure that's what they'll do. As I've said before, she's been on GMA before, and I'm sure they'd love to have her back. This CD is special enough for them to be interested in it! Yes, there's something about the new SoP appearance in the thread, but Richard wouldn't ever answer my question about it! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Well I certainly hope she will, your comments make good sense Libby but as I said, I know nothing more at this stage.

Yes, Libby , you are absolutely right. National TV is where it is at. And prime time is even better. Yet although Hayley has made a few TV appearances, she had never really cracked prime time even in the UK, since Simon Cowell owns it. How much pull do you think Decca have in America? Universal ought to have some muscle for sure. But who they have onside in the world of TV and whether they will use it for Hayley I have no idea.

I'm still holding out hopes for a U S tour. East coast, Midwest, and pacific coast. St Louis has the Celtic Woman group every year and last year they had Sissel here. Also we have a new venue open in the old Kiel Opera House. It's now the Peabody Center. And we also have three great college venues. So I'm thinking positive. If she's ever going to do it here I think this is the album to do it with. Larry

It's the in between season for many of the smaller venues. Our large venues are hugh so I don't think she could fill them . However our smaller venues are more like the ones I've seen Hayley in when I saw her in the U K. So who know. Larry

But she's probably not going to do any concerts in October.
But you're right, any venue that's had CW perform before should be interested in having a former member perform. If Orla Fallon can tour here on her own (I'm going to see her next month!), then Hayley should be able to, as well. She has plenty of CW fans! Of course, Orla was one of the original members, and was in 3 DVDs (and 4, if you count the Greatest Journey), so she's been with them longer, and more well-known to CW fans. But, still, Hayley should be able to at least come to several of the most major venues.
DeccaUS mentioned Hayley's album release on Twitter last week and a link to Amazon, so they appear to be somewhat interested!

Hey everyone, I definitely think 'Paradiso' is an album that could help grow Hayley's fan base here in the US, if promoted properly. I've been talking about it to friends at work, and most of them are fans of Ennio Morricone's film scores, even if they weren't sure who he was. Morricone's connection to the Sergio Leone films, which are very popular here, is the key. That is the angle I find myself using the most, and once they hear Hayley's voice, my job is done. Matt

I found Paradiso on the Barnes & Noble website. This time I just did a general search on Hayley, rather than clicking Music first as I usually do. The write-up they have with it is from the Pulse of Entertainment article we just saw recently! So, of course they use the "tender age of 24" line, which Steve won't like. The price listed is $15.33, as compared to Amazon's $12.78. Speaking of Amazon, they now have the tracklist with song samples, and everything is spelled correctly! Disappointingly, a few of the song samples didn't showcase the best parts of the song enough; by the time it was getting to the better parts, the clip was fading out. In particular La Califfa and Once Upon a Time in the West. And 2 of them, Lezione and Da Quel, they played parts where Hayley wasn't even singing! Here's the link to Barnes & Noble: music.barnesandnoble.com/Paradiso/Hayley-Westenra/e/28947830870?itm=3&usri=hayley%2BwestenraAmazon: www.amazon.com/Paradiso-Hayley-Westenra/dp/B004VPHPQ2/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1316756409&sr=1-1While Best Buy's site lists the UK Import of Paradiso, it takes a little bit of hunting, and it says it's been back-ordered. This may be connected to the lack of copies of the CD in UK stores. Hopefully if they're going to have the US version (and if they offer the UK one, why wouldn't they have the US one?), this won't happen. Interestingly, the price is listed as $9.99! And this is an import! Could they have meant 9.99 in pounds, and forgot to convert it to USD?

Doesn't the fact that they are sending Hayley to the US for Paradiso promotions suggest that they are planning to sell the album here? And if so, wouldn't it seem logical that they ensure that stores are stocked with at least a few copies? Including "real" stores, that you walk into? Amazon's great, too. Also, if they did happen to have her sign albums at B & N stores, that would at least guarantee that that individual store would have it. Any thoughts? Any updates yet, Dave? I'm getting impatient. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hayley has tweeted that she is...
Hopefully Hayley can sing or at least have some of the CD played during these interviews.
Sigh..I hope these "few days" will sell "many albums" :/
