There's a pic from I think from a 2009 Barbican concert with Hayley and some of the most dedicated HWIers (some of the most concert-going)... I think that gives an idea, hahaha...

Yeah I want to see the age stats for HWI registered members XD that's the purpose of this thread. Hello Simba! Many thanks for your question! Michal also wanted to find out the average age of a HWI member. The only way staff can see members' ages is in his/her profile. So, I looked at all of the members' profiles who have logged into the forum within the last 24 hours. There were 50 members, and I number-crunched and discovered the average age to be 39.2 and of that 50, the ratio of males to females was 38:12. Best wishes, Joe

Hi Simba, Interesting question. I fall into the geezer category. I'm a 59 year old male who became hooked on Hayley's music in the fall of 2008. In fact it happened at 3:26 into 'Dark Waltz'. BillR

I discovered Hayley in 2004... I became an "obsessed" fan in early 2007 after the release of Treasure. I am 2 1/2 years older than Hayley. I'll let you do the math. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Well, as for me, I am 66 years old. First heard Hayley at a concert on 20th March 2004, and was blown away within 10 seconds of first hearing her voice. Nobody else ever did that to me.
I've been a "fanatic" ever since. It has been a joy and a privelege to follow Hayley's career so far. It has been wonderful to discover that not only is she an amazing singer, but she is an amazing human being too.

Hi Simba I first discovered Hayley during 2004 and first saw her in concert in September 2005 - met her then too. I fall into the 'mature' category too - I'm 63 in just over a month but Hayley keeps me young! As Joe has intimated, by looking at members profiles you can find the age of those members who publicise their age. Best wishes Grant

Hi Simba and everyone. I am a female (duh ) and I am 23, I think that on the surface it appears that Hayley’s biggest fan base is slightly older people, but I think the reason for that is definitely her style of music, the reason I am a huge fan is definitely her style of music being a country and western fan (as most of us are out here) I find Hayley’s choice of songs kind of go hand in hand with the more romantic side of the country and westenra western music. A lot of my friends (whose ages range from 15 to 50) are Hayley Westenra fans but not quite as fanatical if I can put it that way as diehard HWI’ers. I have to admit I am NOT really into what Hayley wears, where she hangs out, what she has for breakfast or what type of cakes she is cooking for the day, UNLESS it’s a really good recipe i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI JUST loveeeee her music and her voice. The reason I state this is I think its hard to really pin an age group on her as it comes down to media types as stated earlier in the thread, Ive only just got into face book which is not a big thing out here because we have such a fantastic communication system that I can talk with any of my friends and neighbors within a 500 K radius anytime of the day for free whether I am flying the chopper or driving the road train or land cruiser. Basically what I am trying to say and not doing a real good job of it is I think it is really hard to get an age group unless your referring to the media type. BUT I would like to say that the one really great thing about HWI is I did get to meet and fall in love with the MOST fantastic hunky good looking and fun loving optometrist this planet has ever produced ( am I biased, HELL YEAH) Much love Tracy.

I just turned 38 I first learned of Hayley about mid-November 2003, from a Charlotte Church forum. I left that forum and joined this one, which had about 30 members at the time I only attended one Hayley concert so far , that was in October 2005 in Easton, Pennsylvania.

I'll be 22 in July. I'm a woman and I've been a Hayley fan since, roughly, April 2007, when a was still 17.
I pretty much heard Dark Waltz once on a Phantom of the Opera fan's myspace page (of all places) and have been hooked on Hayley's voice ever since. Before that the only Classical-crossover-ish style music I really listened to was Josh Groban. Although I've always been a classical and pop music fan I had never really put the two together until then.
To this day the Pure album still reminds me of a beautiful spring day.

WOW Brilliant guys, you're giving me more than I wanted, And Joe thanks alot! that's valuable information! Because out of all the HWI's ones who drop by regularly are even more diehard, and 39.2 is actually great! Thanks again for your time, to work this out XD. So far I'm thinking, the male fans are usually in the mature category, and female fans are (so far) in their 20s...quite amazing And some of you have really blown me off with such detailed comments, (like tracy, jenny), it even tells me 'how much of a fan' you are, I felt so happy to see how much hayley had an impact in your lives as well. And martin, I must say that one sentence was EPIC! I couldn't have said it better! I only wish I could have the oppurtunity to go to one of Hayley's concerts (being in India, and a student still, it should take quite some years before that dream comes true XD)

Hello Simba! I'm a male of 62, and I've been supporting Hayley since autumn 2003, when 'Pure' shot into the UK charts. She's crossed swords with me on 43 separate occasions during that time. Richard
