This one is even better than the last. You can't see her as well, but you can hear her better over the orchestra in the fast parts. In the other one, I thought she was a little too fast in the fast parts. But over the crash of instruments it was hard to tell for sure. Here, you can tell. Actually, I think so far the Taichung videos are the best ones yet! Not that the other ones aren't good, but you know what I mean. One of the other Sweet as Honey ones wasn't the full song, for example.

Yup you're right, it was just one portion though where she sings Sete Collinazi varinaz e mil pregoz pelo ar.....she starts a split second earlier and then had to match up with the tempo, isn't really much of a mistake if you didn't hear the original, but yeah the second version was VERY good : D After all it's such a difficult song to perform.

Yeah, and the other thing was being able to hear her over the music. I don't think the music was too loud, but I think it had to do with the recording, not the orchestra itself.

Yes, Libby, I'm sure you are right. Certain cameras seem to over accentuate the bass. I have to cut at about 200Hz to get a usabable recording for a CD to play in the car. But you can clean things up quite a lot with sound editing software. But with some recordings, it can still be a challenge.

The Taipei Sweet as Honey recording had the full song, too, and you could see Hayley better, but I think it was a little bit easier to hear Hayley in Taichung, yet again. I think it's the same person recording it, so I thought it might have had to do with how close he was to the speakers, or the acoustics there, or something.

Hello Libby! The acoustics would have been completely different in the two venues. Tapei was a concert hall while Taichung was an outdoor arena, so it's a good opportunity to compare them. Richard

I've just listened/ watched these recordings today following a pretty busy last-minute run up to Christmas and Christmas holiday...and wow! I love the Amalia recording!.....REALLY wishing that somehow I can go to one of her Paradiso shows next year just to get to hear her sing this live would be awesome but I'm spending most of next year digging! :/ .... Also, Sweet as Honey sounds lovely too! with each song she does like this i really hope she does an album of Chinese or Taiwanese songs or both one day!...I haven't listened to Treasure for a while but watching that clip of Sonny got me to get it out to listen to again and I have to say that although the album version is great Hayley's voice certainly has developed since then- I think the recording from this show is my new favourite Sing
